Late post, supposedly for #MedalMonday
This 10th Anniversary of @halongbay.heritagemarathon was all about finishing what I started. #RevengeRun

@markjosephbalines and I had target times: Plan A (3:45), Plan B (3:50) and Plan C (Sub 4). Everything was going well until 30km... when the cramps started! Sobrang lala. I told Mark to push his time and stick sa Plan A, hahabol ako!

The cramps got worse, but I kept going (naglakad/ racewalk, jog pero hindi huminto!). At 40km, a familiar face helped me, dito need ko nang huminto. Inistretch nya parehong legs ko. Then jog/racewalk ulit!

Mark finished at 3:44 (lakas kahit galing injury and hiatus!) and even with the pain, I finished in 3:55! Thank you, Lord, @olosrnc , friends, mister store owner and lastly, kay @markjosephbalines 🙏

This is a reminder to everyone chasing a goal, your comeback is always stronger than your setback. You are capable of so much more than you think. And when your body says quit, remember why you started. LABANNNN lang. We got this! 💗🫶😘

#CULTRA2026 ULTRAMARATHON DEBUT ALERT ‼️

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine conquering almost 60km in 10 hours and 45 minutes. I used to hate the idea of ultras, especially trail ones. I was always the loudest cheerer, never the “ultra” runner. But life has a funny way of turning “never” into “now.”

Every muddy step, every climb, every moment of doubt was met with messages of encouragement and support from my amazing friends, thank you for believing in me when I didn’t.

To Mark, thank you for introducing us to Cultra.

And above all, thank you, Lord for the strength and courage to finish what I once thought impossible.

This debut wasn’t just a race, it showed me that with faith, friends and determination, you can go farther than fear ever allows.
