Hello I haven’t done art in a while because I’m struggling to lock in and this is why 🤪
But I sure locked in making this reel!

Sorry there hasn’t been much art, but I’m still here! Art block becomes a real thing when things outside of JTC are taking my time and energy like my job, social life, weddings and planning my own wedding, and taking care of my health and body 😪 having said that though I def have some new art I wanna show you but it’s just a matter of me needing to lock in aaaaaaa

EEEEEE WHAT A WEEKEND 🌈✨
Honestly I have never felt so energetic and active after a weekend of con, let alone doing a 3x3 booth by myself for most of it!!! 🥰🥰

I really think it’s because of how far back I had the main table and what little space I gave myself, it protected me from the overstimulation that comes with cons generally and it filtered out the ppl who were only browsing from outside, thus I didn’t have to spend my attention on them which saves me even more energy. In fact the only people I did spend my spoons on are those who care and interested enough to STEP IN and really take in everything - and whether you bought something or not, the fact you wanted to come into my world without me saying anything feels so ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

As mentioned the only caveat (and it is a pretty big one) is the potential loss of sales from shy customers or customers you generally wouldn’t attract but they see something they like on display. Having said that, it is only *potential* and not *concrete* so if I were to have the tables out on the edge like normal it’s not guaranteed I would secure those sales anyway!

Overall, yeah I would definitely do this again - I had so much fun playing shopkeeper and basically it was like a taste of what it would be like if I had my own atelier! ✨

Thank you so much Singapore 🇸🇬 you have showed me so much love and believe me when I say the feeling is mutual ❤️ I had so much fun, I feel like I went to many places but not enough so I would love to come back and finally do Night Safari and Singapore Zoo (didn’t get a chance to do so like I planned on Monday ><;;)

Huge thanks to @artsobi.sg for accepting into the event, and talented artists @twogents_crafts @cheekeestickees @wanuwu11 for being wonderful neighbours, and @nanshiistudios for hosting the Aussie sticker rally! I’ve met and connected with so many wonderful artists at Artsobi, this has been a very memorable first intl con and I hope to do more in SG and maybe other places too!

Last of all sending a huge shout out to @kayrahcorn and @specimensquid for looking after Soup and being her holiday family while we were away - we cannot wait to be reunited with our daughter once we get some shut eye 💤

As for my fellow Aussies, my next event will be right at home at OzCC Sydney - I’ll be in the exhibitors section this time, not artist alley, so look for me there ✨🍏🌈

And just like that, my Kickstarter has been live for a week! 🥰 After hosting several successful tshirt campaigns, I know a lil thing or two how these work and this time it’s not different!

Going into a totally new direction compared to my old tee style, we are going bigger and bolder while keeping the same pocket tee style that you all know and love ❤️

This order is actually just about $8000, but because I want this to happen to badly, I’m asking for $4000 to make it a reality so I can fork out the rest! If we hit $5000, I’ll add a black shark tee to the mix for all my black-tee fans!
