@banana.split.film first world premiere! 🎥🍌 there are no words. From doing press junkets, walking our first carpet, to sitting in a theater together and hearing everyone laugh and cheer— it’s all surreal. I feel like I’m daydreaming!! I’m such a lucky girl to be surrounded by so much love and light. Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and came all the way out from Philly to support our first premiere. And to my banana split family, I love you, I love you, I love you. I cannot wait to see where this journey takes us. 🌟 Finally, thank you to @danceswithfilms for believing in our Asian American story. What an epic premiere! four years ago, I quit my toxic full-time job with no back-up plan. fast-forward now, I'm able to work on my own time from wherever I want. from working on some amazing, life-changing projects to networking with some of the kindest, most incredible individuals- I would've never experienced any of this if I chose to settle in that toxic job. freelancing, youtube, acting, or any creative pursuit isn't an easy journey in terms of financial stability. when you first start, you always have to worry about the next invoice as money isn't a guarantee. you work your ass off to put yourself out there and stay consistent with your craft. your 9-5 turns into a 24/7 needing to brand and market yourself or think of what to create next, but I wouldn't trade this lifestyle for anything. I love being able to pursue my creative passions and only hope to use my platform to inspire others to live their best lives as well- whatever you decide to pursue. (btw link to subscribe to my youtube channel lives in my bio 🤭) . . . #motivationalposts #inspirationalthoughts #inspirationalquotes #visualstorytelling #littlestoriesofmylife #pinterestaesthetic #manifestations #manifestyourlife by @jessyyyc_

bits from september~ what started out as a confusing month, debating on whether or not I was on the right life path, quickly turned into affirmation that I was— bc I was casted in my second feature film 😭🎬 before I knew it, I was packing my bags and upending my life to move states, be thrown into rehearsals, and start principal photography. it’s crazy looking back at my september photos and seeing what my life was in philly vs what it looks like now. a completely different daily routine, living w/ the best costars (sistas), and doing what I love the most— acting on set 🌟 grateful for this opportunity and for all the rest that’s coming my way~ by @jessyyyc_
the waiting game in between auditions can be rough, but when you get that one "yes," it's well worth the wait. I'm now two years into my acting journey and had the privilege to star in a feature film and two short films. I'm so excited to announce that I've booked another lead role in my second feature film. Little Jess would think this was all a daydream... 🥺 This booking came to me in an extreme moment of self-doubt. I've gone through hundreds of auditions and was constantly anxious waiting for "the next gig." I want nothing more in life than to continue acting on TV and film sets. I feel it in my bones, I've never wanted something so badly before. So when this opportunity came to me, I knew I had to take it. In less than 48 hours, I found myself packing up my life and moving out of state. These past two weeks have been a whirlwind for me, but I'm already so grateful for the people I've met through this experience. With that said, I'll be taking a temporary hiatus from YouTube and socials until I finish production here. See you all in November! 🎬🌟 #actor #acting #actingjourney #audition by @jessyyyc_

last night of birthday celebrations with the people who make me feel whole 🌙 by @jessyyyc_
29 🪐✨ leading up to my birthday, I thought “29 is such an awkward age, I should save the celebration for when I’m 30.” But my loved ones quickly convinced me that 29 is most definitely worth celebrating because it’s the LAST year of your 20s— and what a wild ride my 20s have been! So many growing pains, life changes, milestones, grief, happiness, lessons learned, and golden moments all jam packed into this magical vessel. I was so miserable for my 28th, I knew I didn’t want to carry those feelings into this new year. I realized that there was never any need to “save the celebration” because life is worth celebrating everyday. I spent the day with my family in Chinatown— going on a mini food tour of all the best spots and shopping around. But my childhood best friend called me right at midnight and serenaded me on the phone while I danced alone in my kitchen to her voice. And I think that’s the perfect depiction of how 29 is going to go— lots of dancing, singing, doing what I love, & surrounded by love. I’m treating this caption as my own mini journal entry so if you’ve read up until this point then thanks for tagging along for the journey. And to the people in my orbit, thank you for always making me feel so so special. I still don’t know what I do to deserve it, but I’m eternally grateful. 🫶🏼 by @jessyyyc_

I also saw The Odyssey, Obsession, and Spiderman: Brand New Day, so what a month for peak cinema 🤌 by @jessyyyc_
