When opportunity knocks…open that door! This was my first official order for Jester Flora by a dear friend who wanted to show some love to her bestie. She asked for “ostentatious, pink sparkle pony vibes” that incorporated her favorite flower: Gerbera daisies.
I got this order while I was camping at a festival with almost no service but I knew I could not say no. Not only is it for a friend but it’s also a great opportunity to help launch this new business. After a weekend of fun and a very long drive back home from the festival I had less than 24 hours to source, create and deliver this arrangement. Thanks to my home garden and Trader Joe’s I had plenty of things to work with, and I scored a perfect thrifted compote vase. I got it arranged and delivered just in time.
I’m happy with how it turned out. I learned a lot and it made this crazy dream of mine feel a little more real. Big shout out to @likethepears for believing in me. We’ve always supported each others “crazy” ideas. You inspire me to dream big and do things that feel a little scary. And big love to @jennfernvibes for being a part of this magic. It was so lovely to see you smile when this arrived. Helping people give the gift of flowers is a beautiful thing.
So I guess this is happening. So much more to do-from websites and workspaces to invoices and supplies, plus all things in between. I have a lot of work to do. It will take a lot of faith. Wish me luck.

No one tells you how scary it is to say what you want out loud. It’s easy to keep your dreams quiet-then there’s no pressure to succeed. The fear of public failure when you announce something you want is strong. What if it doesn’t work out? What if I fail? But not doing it is its own kind of failure.
So here’s to first steps with fingers crossed and heart wide open. by @jester.flora

My favorite new flower in 2025 were these stunning dahlias from @swanislanddahlias called, Who Me? I’ve never met a dahlia that doesn’t make me swoon but I have a soft spot for the big floofy ones like these. They remind me of the long flowing tutus worn by ballerinas. I can’t stop staring at them. For now I’ll let these beauties get some rest and try my best to be patient for spring. by @jester.flora

A week in the life of my flowers. Pretty impressive how long many of these lasted (all hail the raining champions-the under appreciated carnation & a new fave: gladiolus). After the arrangement I made I was happy to use the leftovers to practice a little bit. Since it was a busy week I didn’t want to miss out on the beautiful arrangements so I brought them along on my adventures. Our first stop was @tabordance where they decorated the info booth. Both got completely blown to the ground in big gusts of wind but made it home where I spruced them up a bit. Then I took them camping where they survived full sun, two rainstorms and two days of my dogs running back and forth by them. At the end I made a little altar to remember my old Dixie dog who I lost about while back. This was one of her most favorite camping places and I have so many memories of her here.
These adventures of course are fun and bringing flowers make it beautiful and whimsical, but they also serve purpose. I got to observe different flowers and arrangements to see what works well to be transported, what blooms last the longest and are strong enough to withstand an event, a windstorm, a warm car ride in an overloaded car, a camping trip with lots of weather variations.
I love this spot. I miss my Dixie. If you want to know the location I require you to help pick huckleberries in exchange. by @jester.flora

Spring seems far away but now is the time to start planning. Looking through catalogs, deciding what to plant now for a spring harvest. I’d really like to plant some ranunculus this fall-a new one for me.
Remembering this sweet little rose and how many blooms it gave me in spring and early summer. Now is the time to let her rest until it’s time for her late winter trim. taken in St. Johns by @jester.flora

TB to @cascade_equinox with the @tabordance crew and me sharing what our camp looks like so friends can find us. Yes I brought floral arrangements to our festival camp. No I didn’t get any photos aside from this clip that I took after the camp was already messy. They were sweet and people enjoyed them. I think next year some larger arrangements are in order…maybe a flower mandala… by @jester.flora
