Some of the things I am most proud of were born in seasons I would never have chosen.

@spath_max _ SPath was born after more than 500 rejections taught me how isolating it can feel to build a career without a map.

I do not romanticise hardship. But I refuse to waste what it taught me.

Every difficult season has given me more faith, clarity and intention to build work that helps other people move forward.

Today, my mission is to help ambitious professionals use AI to build careers, businesses and lives that matter.

If you are in an in-between season right now: keep going. It may be the chapter that shapes what you are becoming.

Three ways I help: build, train, and speak.

I build useful AI systems around real workflows. I train teams to use AI confidently and responsibly. And I speak about technology, identity, purpose, and where human judgement must remain.

No jargon for the sake of it. Just useful systems and better conversations about AI.

DM AI to start a clarity conversation.

There are fellowships, grants and awards you qualify for right now. You just don't know they exist.

They're not on job boards. They're scattered across university pages, foundation sites, government portals and posts nobody sees. So the same few people keep winning them, not because they're better, but because they found them.

Here's how to use Claude or ChatGPT to find yours:

1. Write your profile - one document: background, work, field, nationality, what you want. AI can't match you to anything until it knows you.
2. Make AI search - "Find fellowships, grants and awards open to someone with this profile. Show the deadline, eligibility and link." Then make it check the sources.
3. Kill the no's fast - paste the eligibility criteria and ask "Where would I be rejected?" Ten minutes saves ten hours.
4. Draft in your voice - feed it your profile and the criteria, then rewrite it as you. Panels can tell.
5. Track the deadlines - most people lose opportunities they already found.

One warning the guide goes into properly: AI will confidently invent programmes that closed years ago. Verify every link yourself before you spend time on it.

I used this method to get on stage at The AI Summit London. The same method finds fellowships, grants and awards.

The full process with the exact prompts is in a free PDF. Comment GUIDE and I'll send it, or get it on the resources page at jesusintech.com. No sign-up.

Building your first AI product is easier when you understand what it takes to move from an idea to something people can actually use.

In this episode of The Arc Talk, Uriel Tomori sits down with Richard Ogundele to discuss the practical side of building AI products, from choosing the right AI model and managing data and costs to turning a prototype into a product that solves a real problem.

Whether you're a developer, entrepreneur, founder, or simply curious about AI, this conversation explores the decisions and challenges that come with building your first AI-powered product.

The goal isn't just to build something impressive. It's to create something useful, sustainable, and valuable to the people you're building for.

Watch the full conversation and start thinking about how to turn your AI idea into a real product.

Subscribe to The Arc Talk for more conversations on AI, entrepreneurship, technology, and building products.

Yesterday at DTX London I was asked what actually stops an AI agent going rogue.

My answer was a badge.

Everyone in that room was wearing one. Speaker. Panellist. Visitor. Nobody argued about it, because we all understood what a badge really is. It is not about who you are. It is about what you are allowed to do, and for how long.

AI agents are no different.

A lot of what people call "the AI messed up" was never the AI. A human handed it access to everything, then acted surprised when it walked into a room it had no business entering.

You cannot give something full access and then be shocked when it goes wrong.

And whatever it produces, you still carry. Not the model. You.

So before you hand an agent the keys: would you give it the admin badge, or a visitor's badge with five minutes to do the one job it was brought in to do?

Tell me below.

5 things I regret when I started using AI.

1. Saving prompts instead of building a system
A folder of prompts is not a system. A system is the same work happening the same way every week, whether or not you feel like it.

2. Using it like a search box
One question, one answer, close the tab. The value is in the second, third and fourth question.

3. Never asking where the answer came from
If it cannot tell you the source, you cannot use it for anything that matters.

4. Letting it write in a voice that wasn't mine
People can tell. Write the last draft yourself, always.

5. Waiting until I understood it to start
I lost months reading about AI instead of using it on one real task.

Building an AI product is more than creating an impressive demo. The real challenge is turning that prototype into something people actually need and are willing to pay for.

“How do I use AI if I’m not technical?”

I get this question more than any other, and the honest answer is that you are asking about the wrong thing.

Stop asking which tool to learn. Ask what you repeat every single week.

Then look for the pattern:
Reading to understand -> research
Writing the same thing again -> drafting
Weighing up a decision -> a thinking partner
Remembering what comes next -> tracking

1. Research. If you open 14 tabs and read none of them, AI is a researcher you can question. Every answer should cite where it came from.

2. Drafting. If you rewrite the same email every week, AI writes the first draft and you write the last. Never send the first draft, people can tell.

3. Thinking. If you go round in circles with nobody senior to ask, AI is the colleague available at 11pm. Ask it to argue against you. It advises, you decide. Always.

None of this is technical. It is naming the work, then handing over the part that repeats.

My secret way of preparing for any opportunity: an interview, a pitch or a stage.

It's Google's Gemini Notebook (you may know it as NotebookLM), and it's free. Here's exactly how I use it:

1. One notebook per goal - everything for one goal, in one place
2. Add your sources: the brief, your research, notes and slides - answers come from your material, not guesswork
3. Ask what matters - every answer shows where it came from
4. Turn it into a podcast with Audio Overview, then join in Interactive mode - prepare while you commute
5. Generate a Mind Map - see the whole structure at a glance
6. Flashcards and quizzes - test yourself and walk in confident

What to upload:
Interview → the job description, company website and your CV
Presentation → the event brief, your research and your notes
Business pitch → your deck, market research and the investor's profile

Most people use tools like this at 10% of what they can do.

Learn my strategy for creating opportunities with your own AI system. That is what my AI Life Operating System (AIOS) course teaches.

Comment AIOS and I'll send it to you.

I'm speaking at DTX London 2026.

Trust in agentic AI: When agents go rogue.
Thursday 15 October, 3:00-3:45pm
Risk & Resilience Stage, ExCeL London

Almost every team I talk to is shipping agents right now. Far fewer have asked the harder question: what happens when one acts outside what you intended, and who carries it when it does.

That is the panel. How you keep agents useful without handing over judgement you cannot get back.

If you work in IT, data, security or operations, come through. It is free to attend, register at dtxevents.io. Find me afterwards, I would rather have the conversation in person.

Four years ago this week, I came to the UK to study AI.

I didn't expect the instability, the warehouse shifts, the visa setbacks, the silence, or the hundreds of rejections.

But God has been faithful. And here's what the journey taught me 👉

Which lesson do you need most right now? Tell me below.

I trusted my employer to handle my visa sponsorship.

They said they’d sort it. I believed them.

Three months before expiry - six words ended everything.

“We can’t support you anymore.”

That was the day I stopped waiting for permission and built the system I wish I had.

If your visa clock is ticking and you’re still relying on someone else to figure it out - don’t wait for that call.

Check where you actually stand by commenting CHECK and I will send to you
