In honor of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, here are two of our favorite flights showcasing aerial videography of some incredibly unique fútbol fields in both Peru and Italy. Both are near extremely different terrains, over 6,500 miles apart on this great Earth. The Aguas Calientes complex is just a hike down the mountain from Machu Picchu and the complex bordering Lake Como is surrounded by a quiet town next to greatness.

Although neither of these incredible Nations qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Peru has qualified 5 times and Italy 18 times in their histories.

Peru’s National team reached the quarter-finals in 1970 and 1978 and is nicknamed La Blanquirroja, “The White and Red”.

Italy’s National team has 4 championship titles and are nicknamed Gli Azzurri, “The Blues”.

📍 Coron Island - Palawan, Philippines 🇵🇭 (📸 2025)

Welcome to one of the most beautiful places on Earth.

Coron Island is famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs, crystal-clear freshwater lakes, and world-class shipwreck diving. It encompasses both the bustling town on Busuanga Island and the nearby pristine, jungle-covered Coron.

The entirety of Coron Island is an officially designated ancestral domain belonging to the indigenous Tagbanwa people, who protect and manage its sacred lakes.

Because of its unique geology, ecology, and cultural significance, the Coron Island Natural Biotic Area is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List.

Some must sees around the island are Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, Twin Lagoon and the Maquinit Hot Springs.

Coron Island is just a short boat ride away from Coron Town on Busuanga Island, of which requires a short plane ride from Manila!

Be sure to visit between December and March for the calmest waters and clearest skies for island hopping and diving!

🎬 1. It Became World-Famous because of a the film The Beach:

Maya Bay was relatively unknown globally until the 2000 movie The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio. The film showcased the bay’s dramatic limestone cliffs and crystal-clear water, turning it into a bucket-list destination almost overnight. Tourism exploded in the years that followed—eventually leading to serious environmental damage.

🌱 2. It was completely closed to tourists to recover:

By 2018, the ecosystem was in crisis—coral reefs were heavily damaged and marine life had nearly vanished. Thai authorities made the bold decision to shut the bay entirely.
During its closure (which lasted several years), nature rebounded dramatically: coral began regenerating, and blacktip reef sharks returned to the shallow waters. It’s now one of the world’s most famous examples of eco-restoration done right.

🦈 3. Sharks now swim where tourists used to crowd:

One of the most fascinating outcomes of the closure is the return of blacktip reef sharks, which now regularly patrol the bay’s shallow waters.
These sharks are harmless to humans and their presence is actually a sign of a healthy marine ecosystem—something that had almost completely disappeared before the shutdown.

📍Da Nang, Vietnam 🇻🇳

The Indochinese Rhesus Macaque (Macaca mulatta) is a highly adaptable Old World monkey with the largest natural range of any non-human primate, from Afghanistan to China and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam.

Here at Sơn Trà Marina, the monkeys love to hang around the cafe with hopes of snagging a neglected, delicious piece of cheesecake.

📍 𝗦𝘆𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮 🇦🇺

The Sydney Opera House is a famous Australian landmark designed by Danish architect Jørn Utzon, who won an international competition for his design in 1956. The Sydney Opera House was eventually opened by Queen Elizabeth II on 20th October, 1973.

The original estimate to build the Sydney Opera House was $7 million. The final cost was $102 million. The Sydney Opera House was largely paid for by a State Lottery.

The iconic structure has a unique, sail-like design featuring over a million tiles on its roof and a heating and cooling system that uses cold seawater from Sydney Harbour. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is home to multiple performance venues, including the Concert Hall and the Joan Sutherland Theatre. It is also situated on Bennelong Point, which is a site of great cultural significance to the Indigenous Gadigal people.

I captured this old shot around 2016 while on the water, traveling from the Sydney Harbor to the Taronga Zoo. Stay tuned for an up-close shot at night where the whole Sydney Opera house was transformed with a visual technology of graffiti.

This was a journey of a lifetime. When others say Thailand is one of the best countries in the world to visit, you better believe it.

Bangkok - This incredible city holds the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest city name. It is the home of Red Bull. Bangkok is considered the world’s hottest city by average temperature. It is also known as the “Venice of the East” due to its extensive canal system and has the largest Chinatown in the world. The cuisine is unreal.

Chiang Mai - Known for being a major cultural hub with over 300 Buddhist temples and being the new capital of the Lan Na Kingdom after it was founded in 1296. It is also home to Thailand’s highest mountain, Doi Inthanon, features an ancient, moated city center, and is a center for ethical tourism, including reputable elephant sanctuaries. Chiang Mai is soulfully beautiful.

Phuket - The largest island in Thailand and a major tourist destination known for the most beautiful beaches in the world, extremely fun nightlife, and non-stop water sports. Its mountainous interior is home to 70% of the island’s land and has a unique blend of Thai, Chinese, and Malay cultures, which is very visible in its architecture and festivals.

The wooden 627 foot long, 692 year old Chapel Bridge was built in 1333. These days, the bridge links the Lucerne Theatre on the south bank of the River Reuss with St. Peter’s Chapel on Rathausquai, passing the Water Tower on the way. The Water Tower was erected before the Chapel Bridge, sometime around 1290–1300.

The bridge contains a number of interior paintings dating back to the 17th century, although many of them were destroyed along with a larger part of the centuries-old bridge in a 1993 fire.

Subsequently restored, the Kapellbrücke is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe, as well as the world’s oldest surviving truss bridge.

We highly recommend the city of Lucerne with the charm of its luxury shops, chocolate, cuisine and spirit of the great Swiss mountains. Just a 20 minute ride away from our favorite, largest cog railway, up to Mount Pilatus!

The La Paz Waterfall Gardens Nature Park is the most popular nature tour in the San Jose area featuring five famous waterfalls and the largest animal sanctuary in all of Costa Rica.

The park is nestled between Poas Volcano National Park and Braulio Carrillo National Park on the eco-route between San Jose and Arenal Volcano. The drive is unbelievably beautiful. Rent a car and go!

The park boasts some of the most lush tropical rain forests, flowing white rivers, spectacular waterfalls, birds, butterflies, monkeys, hummingbirds, snakes, felines and frogs.

The Costa Rica rainforests, cloud forests, and flowing waterways contain approximately 5% of the world’s biodiversity, despite occupying only 0.03% of the Earth’s landmass. This makes it one of the most biodiverse countries per unit area globally.

The parks Peace Lodge was also voted The Most Romantic Hotel in Costa Rica by Honeymoon Hotspots International. Don’t miss checking this area out for the romance of biodiversity!

📍 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗲, 𝗖𝘇𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 (𝗖𝘇𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗮) 🇨🇿

I shot this photograph in 2016 while standing on top of my suite at the La Ballerina right in the center of what is considered the most beautiful medieval-architectural city in the world.

Prague is known as the “City of a Hundred Spires” due to its impressive skyline of Gothic architecture. Prague Castle is the largest ancient castle complex in the world. The city is home to the oldest active synagogue in Europe, dating back to 1270, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992, and is the actual beer capital of the world. Czechs consume more beer per capita than any other nation in the world, and Prague is a hub of this beer culture. I joined a bar crawl through old town and was met with some of the darkest, most eclectic underground bars/clubs in the world.

Prague is also one of the greenest and athletically fit cities in the world. Don’t hesitate to visit this world renowned old city!
