Today, on #NationalHeroDay, we’re celebrating the people who inspire us to dream bigger and give back. For Derek, Dave Winfield was one of those people. A role model on and off the field, Dave’s example helped inspire Derek to create #Turn2 and build a Foundation dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential.

The Kalamazoo #JetersLeaders returned to support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention’s Out of the Darkness Walk, helping with event setup and registration, encouraging participants along the trail, and assisting at water and snack stations.

At the finish line, they helped welcome walkers and create a supportive atmosphere for everyone who took part. Supporting initiatives like this is an important part of #Turn2’s commitment to helping young people build healthy lifestyles, prioritize mental well-being and advocate for positive mental health. by @jeterturn2

Even marathon training deserves a night off! #TeamTurn2 runners James O’Rourke and Rafael Castillo traded in their sneakers for suits to celebrate Turn 2’s 30th Anniversary Gala before getting back to the miles.

The countdown to the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon is on, and the full #TeamTurn2 crew — James, Rafael, Stephanie Riccio and Grace O’Rourke — is ready to run with purpose. We’re excited to cheer them on as they race in support of Turn 2. Every step helps create more opportunities for the next generation of leaders.

What a night 💙. We gathered with our #Turn2 family, friends and partners at Cipriani Wall Street to celebrate 30 years of The Turn 2 Foundation, our incredible community and the impact we’ve made together all while raising over $2.2 million.

From honoring our 2026 #JetersLeaders graduates and Gregory J. Fleming with the MVP Award to inspiring words from Jeter’s Leader alumnus Elmer Chavez, an unforgettable conversation presented by The Players’ Tribune, and a phenomenal performance by Babyface, the evening was a celebration of Turn 2’s past, present and future.
