It’s not every day you get to share the stage with people you’ve known since high school 🦁❤️

That’s exactly what happened when @purposepivotwithmelissa brought Kristen and her Leonia Lion ladies (@melsstyles💫 @lisamateotv 💫& @jeterwest 💫) together for a panel discussion, reuniting them in a full-circle moment and sharing stories that continue to evolve in powerful ways.

That night, Kristen revisited one of the core messages from her book:
“Sometimes, no matter how hard you try to change or control a situation, it won’t budge—and there’s a reason for that.”

After navigating a pivotal moment in her own life, she learned to let go, lean into meaningful self-care, and lead with heart—ultimately becoming a stronger leader for herself and her company. Along the way, she realized that “challenges and crises hold lessons that shape us in ways we can’t always see in the moment.”

Her book features the stories of Kristen and 34 dynamic women leaders who embraced the power of the pause—gaining grounding, renewed purpose, and the courage to speak openly about their vulnerability.
Wherever you are on your path forward, may their experiences inspire your own ✨

about last night...

I had the privilege of moderating a conversation with three dynamic, brilliant, bad-ass women — and some of my oldest and dearest friends from my hometown, Leonia, NJ.

@melsstyles — Author + powerhouse visionary
@lisamateotv — Award-winning journalist + storyteller
@paladinocasting — Founder of the top casting company in the country

We gathered to celebrate the launch of The Purpose Pivot — Melissa’s powerful new book on how bold leaders use vulnerability and intuition to transform their lives and the lives of others.

The evening was filled with truth, laughter, and love. As one guest said, it felt like “a love story to ourselves and our loved ones.”

Melissa — thank you for always lifting others up and inviting me to moderate.
Lisa & Kristen — your honesty and bravery lit up the room.
And to the LHS crew — the hugs and laughter were good for the soul.

Cheers to a best-selling author @purposepivotwithmelissa — we’ve come a long way from 6th grade and belt buckles 🤣❤️
