A charming Main Street, cute cafés and local shops. Perfect when you want a little escape without a long drive. ☕️

🌊 2. Port Hope | ~1–1.5 hrs (@exploreporthope )

Historic streets, riverside views and independent shops — a lovely small-town escape east of Toronto. 🏘️

🌲 3. Huntsville + Arrowhead | ~2.5–3 hrs (@explore.huntsville )

Lakes, forest trails and outdoor adventures. Ideal when you’re craving a proper nature reset. 🥾

So… who is actually behind @jetsethackz? 👀

If you’ve been following for a while, you probably noticed that I don’t really show my face here.

And honestly? I like keeping the focus on the places, the experiences and the travel ideas. ✈️

I created @jetsethackz for people who LOVE travelling but have:

💼 a 9–5
💰 a travel budget
⏰ limited vacation days
🚗 and a constant urge to get away for the weekend.

3 Days in Ottawa < Montreal 🇨🇦✨

📍 DAY 1 — OTTAWA

🏡 Checked into a local B&B
🏛️ Explored downtown & Parliament Hill
☕ Coffee stop
🍕 Ended the day with pizza at @eatgiuliapizza

📍 DAY 2 — OTTAWA, GATINEAU

☀️ Slow start to the day
🥯 Breakfast at @bobinobagel
☕ Coffee hopping at local cafés and a must visit to @littlevictoriescoffee Roasters
🚶‍♀️ More of downtown Ottawa

📍 DAY 3 — MONTREAL

🥐 Breakfast & bakery at @bluebarncoffee
🚗 Drive to Montréal
🥙 Lunch at Sham Mont-Royal (@sham.mtl ) for their unique vegan Syrian food
🚗 Back to Ottawa → home

A short trip, and definitely not enough time to see everything — but we loved the slow mornings, good coffee, amazing food & little moments in between.

Sometimes you don’t need a packed itinerary to make a trip memorable. 🇨🇦✨

✨ One of Nova Scotia’s most iconic views — Peggy’s Cove 🌊🪨

Just 45 minutes from Halifax, this charming fishing village is famous for its lighthouse, dramatic granite rocks, and endless Atlantic Ocean views. Every angle here feels like a postcard! 📸

⚠️ Save these tips before you visit:
• Never walk on the dark, wet rocks — rogue waves can appear without warning.
• Visit early morning or around sunset for fewer crowds and the best light.
• Wear comfortable shoes—the granite can be uneven and slippery.

🚗 Driving from Halifax? Make a day trip by stopping at Indian Harbour, Queensland Beach, and the colourful village of Mahone Bay (or continue on to Lunenburg if you have extra time!).

Halifax ➝ Cabot Trail: Our 4-day Cape Breton road trip 🍁🚗

If you’re planning a Nova Scotia road trip, save this itinerary for later! Here’s how we spent 4 unforgettable days exploring one of Canada’s most scenic drives.

🗓️ Day 1 | Halifax ➝ Inverness
🥞Grab breakfast in Halifax before leaving.
🌊 Stop at either:
📍Pomquet Beach Provincial Park
📍Antigonish
📍Cape George Lighthouse (optional)
📍Port Hood Beach
🏡 Stay at Majestic Mountain Cottage—a peaceful, cozy retreat surrounded by nature and the perfect place to unwind after the drive.

🌊 Day 2 | Cabot Trail Loop (unarguably the best part of this journey)
⏰ Start early – the Cabot Trail is a 300 km scenic loop

🍳 Breakfast at The Dancing Goat Café & Bakery (Margaree)
☕ Coffee stop: Salty Rose’s & The Periwinkle Café (Ingonish); or
Main Street Restaurant & Bakery (Baddeck) before starting the loop
📸 Stop at the iconic lookouts (stop frequently, you won't regret it)
🚠 Ride the Cape Smokey Gondola; or
🐋 Go whale watching (weather permitting)
🍴 Lunch at Coastal Restaurant & Pub, Ingonish
Don’t miss their Fish & Chips & Pita Chips

🚗 Take your time—the best part of the Cabot Trail is stopping whenever a view catches your eye.📸

🗓️ Day 3 | Skyline Trail
🥾Hike the iconic Skyline Trail.
🌫️ Even with fog, the views and atmosphere were unforgettable.

🗓️ Day 4 | Sydney
🎸Explore the Sydney Waterfront & Big Fiddle.
🌆 Wander through downtown cafés and shops.
🌊 If you have extra time, visit these beaches:
📍Black Brook Beach
📍Dominion Beach
📍Dingwall (my favourite)

🗓️ Day 5 | Back to Halifax
🚘 Enjoy one last scenic drive through Cape Breton before heading back to Halifax.

✨ My biggest tip: Don’t treat the Cabot Trail as just another drive. Stop often, take the detours, and enjoy the journey—some of the best memories are made at the unexpected viewpoints.

I travelled with my mom, so we didn't camped, but if you could, book a campsite in advance. You wont regret it✨

✨ 2 Perfect Days in Halifax Before Driving the Iconic Cabot Trail 🇨🇦🌊

If you’re planning a Nova Scotia road trip, don’t rush straight to Cape Breton. Spend at least 2 days exploring Halifax first—you won’t regret it!

📍DAY 1
✈️ Land at Halifax Stanfield Airport
🚗 Pick up your rental car
🍽️ Head straight to BG (The Bicycle Thief’s sister restaurant) for one of the best fish & chips in Downtown Halifax.
☕ Grab a coffee from Two If By Sea Café (worth the short trip) or Cabin Coffee if you’re staying downtown.
🍦 End the day with the iconic COWS Ice Cream—a Nova Scotia classic!

📍DAY 2
🥞 Start your morning with breakfast at Elle’s Bistro or Easy Street Diner.
🚶 Wander through the colourful streets of Downtown Halifax.
⚓ Explore the beautiful Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk.
🛍️ Pick up local souvenirs before heading out.
🌅 Drive to the breathtaking Peggy’s Cove for one of Canada’s most iconic coastal views.
🍝 Finish your day with dinner at The Bicycle Thief—make a reservation because it’s popular for a reason!

💙 If you have an extra day, don’t skip Lunenburg! This colourful UNESCO town was high on my list, but I’ll definitely be back for it.
