Alright y’all, I got a new car. I’m still Jetta Josh. This is my new to me CPO 2021 Jetta SEL Premium. It’s got just over 50k miles! I’m in love. It’s been a dream to have a CPO, fully loaded, low miles, ventilated seats, adaptive cruise, and heated steering wheel. by @jetta.josh

This project has been 2 months in the making from purchase to install. Follow along with the photos to see this journey.
I purchased these TTS front calipers with new pads and rotors from @joseph_5oh at @branifusedautoparts at the beginning of February with full intent of installing them on my car. Scroll for the journey.

Step 1: RESEARCH. Always talk to other enthusiasts about your ideas unless you are 100% capable of executing them.

Step 2: Gather parts (@clone_performance taught me to hoard parts until I need them. One day the pile of parts in his bedroom magically turned into a driving car).

Step 3: TEST FIT. Unless you have all the time in the world to mess with your car, make sure your parts will fit before tearing it all apart (when possible)

Step 4: install. Easy, right? NEVER.
I tried to install these with Alfredo and the rotors were cracked so I had to get new ones. Next, I tried to install them myself as pictured, until I realized I don’t have all the needed tools, while the car was in pieces and my excitement got the best of me. That was 4/31 and on 5/1, @joseph_5oh offered to lend a hand and assist with an install.

Completion of this project marks a nice milestone for this car. I can gladly say that this car which was once untouched, has been touched…. In almost every operational department. Engine, suspension, brakes, body, lights, sound system, instruments, transmission, everything has been modified one way or another.

I’m forever indebted to @joseph_5oh @andres_cao and @alfredo_man for their help and guidance over the last 4.5 years. Collectively, massive shoutout to @branifusedautoparts and I would recommend anyone with a Volkswagen or Audi to give them a call before going to the dealership for any parts. taken in Branif Auto by @jetta.josh

Today was a legendary step in the right direction for Maiya. Today marked fixing most of the errors from the mechanic who installed all of my fun parts. Maiya is free of boost leaks, free to boost however much is desired, and mostly fuel leak free.

Today we (@camwerksgarage & I, kinda) removed the valve cover and injectors to access the turbo actuator for adjustment. It was honestly straightforward job.

While at it, I got to inspect the cams that have 80k miles on them and they looked new.

The actuator was adjusted from voltage .304v & 2.660v to tuners requested voltage (well, close) to .76v & 3.8v. It made a huge difference in performance of the car.

As precautionary measures, we also replaced the valve cover gasket and all the injector seals and plates. For 254k miles, this motor is very well maintained.

I’ll do a timing belt change in around 40-50k miles, so in around a year or two.

I spend a lot of time driving this car and I need to replace the drivers seat and I want to start on my interior project, so if anyone knows upholstery and headliner people, please let me know.

Well y’all it’s been almost 2 years since I’ve made a post about performance and I want to say proudly that my engine is now free of oil and boost leaks! Recent upgrades have been new boost piping, oil cooler, thermostat, and a turbo damper from Darkside. Thanks to @camwerksgarage for doing the amazing work and quickly too! Also thank you to @mlg_euros for the moral support over the last few years. I can finally start logging and tuning properly this time. by @jetta.josh
