FRIENDS…MR. ZACH WENT AWAY FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND, AND THIS MAMA BARELY KNEW WHAT TO DO WITH HERSELF! 😂♥️

He went to a conference with our church’s Young People’s Division (YPD), and y’all…he was NOT playing around about going! He stayed on me to make sure I got him registered because he was NOT about to miss this weekend with his little buddy Charles! 😁😂

Mr. Zach was ready to spread his wings! Meanwhile…WHAT IS THIS MAMA TO DO?! 😩😂 Thank goodness our church’s inaugural Fall Festival celebrating our 125th anniversary kept me busy, because I might have curled up in a ball missing my baby!

This was his FIRST trip completely away from his parents, and y’all…he wasn’t even calling us! He didn’t have time for Mom and Dad! He had learning, fellowship, and celebrating the Lord to do…we could wait! 🙌🏾😂 Smart kid!

All jokes aside, I am SO proud of this guy. Watching him grow into a grounded, God-loving, smart, kind, and empathetic young man fills my heart. His dad and I love him so much, and we’re praying for safe travels for Mr. Zach and the entire YPD! ♥️🙏🏾

And a HUGE thank-you to our YPD Director, Zena! Girl, you kept this mama’s nerves calm and cared for my baby like he was your own. Love ya, girlie! THIS is what we mean when we say it takes a village—and I am so thankful for mine! 😍🥰🙌🏾

Oh…and did I mention these young folks look absolutely FABULOUS?! Because they DO! 😉🤩 by @jettabetta2000

🦸🏾‍♂️❤️💙 FALL SPIRIT WEEK — DAY 3: SUPERHERO DAY! 💙❤️🦸🏾‍♂️

Besides today being the Getting to Know You Assembly, there was another very important reason Mr. Zach had to show up as a SUPERHERO! 😂🙌🏾

And really…who else could he be but SUPERMAN?! ❤️💙

Because my kiddo had what can only be described as a HERCULEAN to-do list today! 😂😂😂 Between the assembly, all of his responsibilities, and everything else packed into the day, Superman was definitely the right choice!

He understood the assignment! 🦸🏾‍♂️💥 by @jettabetta2000

💙🤍 WHAT A MARVELOUS MORNING AT PORTLEDGE!!! 🤍💙

FRIENDS!!! These kids NEVER cease to AMAZE ME!!! 🥹🙌🏾

Today was Mr. Zach’s GETTING TO KNOW YOU ASSEMBLY, led by the AMAZING 5TH GRADE, who will be leading all the Lower School assemblies this year!

And BABYYYY…THEY PUT ON A PRODUCTION!!! 🎭🎶😂

The assembly kicked off with a HILARIOUS battle between the GIRLS and the BOYS! The girls wanted a prim and proper beginning, but the boys thought that was WAY TOO OLD-FASHIONED and decided to RESTART the show in their COOL GUY STYLE! 😎🤣

LET’S JUST SAY THE GIRLS WERE NOT IMPRESSED!!! 😂😂😂

From there, we enjoyed music, laughter and a wonderful lesson about school expectations and the FOUR PORTLEDGE PILLARS! My MR. ZACH had the honor of representing KINDNESS! ❤️

And how did these fabulous kids end their assembly? By sharing THEIR WISH FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR! 🌟

MR. ZACH’S WISH?

⚽️ “TO GET BETTER AT SOCCER!” ⚽️

WELL, ALRIGHT, MR. ZACH!!! 😂🙌🏾 After yesterday’s AMAZING opening game, I’d say he’s off to a GREAT START!

FRIENDS…THE TALENT! THE CONFIDENCE! THE PERSONALITIES! Every time I think these kids can’t get any better, THEY DO!!! 🥹❤️

I couldn’t be PROUDER of Mr. Zach and his incredible classmates! And I think we parents enjoyed the show EVEN MORE than the kids! 🤣🤣🤣

BRAVO, 5TH GRADE!!! TAKE A BOW!!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

💙🤍 GO PORTLEDGE!

FRIENDS…THEY WON!!! 8–1!!! 😱🙌🏾🔥

HOLY SMOKES…WHAT AN OPENING GAME!!! ⚽️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

Remember how worried I was that his dad and I couldn’t be there? Well, our village SHOWED UP for him, and that means more to me than I can say. 🥹💙🤍

And y’all…my mama heart is SO FULL! 🥹💙 Mr. Zach even had some of his little friends from Aftercare come down to cheer him on! 🥰🙌🏾

What a way to kick off the season, boys!!! 8–1!!! 🔥🔥🔥

⚽️💙🤍 TODAY IS A BIG DAY FOR MR. ZACH!! 🤍💙⚽️

Today, Mr. Zach suits up for his VERY FIRST game with the Portledge 5th Grade Boys Soccer Team! 🙌🏾⚽️

He’ll be playing Right Back — holding it down on defense! 💪🏾

It’s the first game of the season, it’s a HOME GAME, and kickoff is at 3:30 PM!

This mama is a little sad because neither Dad nor I can be there today. 😢 We are usually at EVERYTHING, but work had other plans for us. 😩😂 Apparently these jobs expect us to show up so we can keep paying that tuition! 😂😂😂

But THANK GOD FOR THE VILLAGE! 🙌🏾💙

Pastor Lewis said he would go cheer Mr. Zach on, and while I was writing this post, one of his After Care teachers told me she’s going over too! 🥹👏🏾

Okayyyy…Mama feels MUCH better now! 😂💙 He WILL have his cheering section!

Dad and I will definitely be at plenty of these games because we have to support our baby! 💙🤍

⚽️ GO PORTLEDGE!!

🍯✨ IT’S ALL ABOUT THE HONEY…with her supporting cast! 😉✨

Today’s JOTD started with the HONEY Earrings, and then I built the whole look around them! 🙌🏾

A little denim blue, lots of gorgeous gold, and just the right amount of sparkle! Sometimes one piece gets to be the STAR…and the rest of the jewels come through as the perfect supporting cast. 💎✨

JOTD
🍯 HONEY Earrings
💙 Denim Blue IMPRESSION Earrings
✨ JUNIPER Bracelets x2
💎 GEM Bracelet
💍 VOGUE Ring stacked between 2 gold rings from the SUBLIME Ring Set

I am LOVING how that denim blue pops against all the gold! 😍🤌🏾

Now tell me…what caught your eye first: HONEY or that bracelet stack?! 👀✨
