Feeling so thankful this morning as we walk around Stanford University one day after watching our eldest son, Tim, hit a three-run homer to help his team defeat the San Francisco Giants. Children are brought into the world with hope for the future. But Stanford? And Major League Baseball? No. That’s just overwhelming. Thank you, Tim. We had no idea it would be this and are moved beyond measure. by @jettervb

Thankfully she said, “Yes.”

A wretch like me did not deserve such good fortune.

Bittersweet trip to St. Louis last week. Visited the Arch and crazy City Museum. That was the good. The bad? On Wednesday Tim was told he was being demoted again after just five games (one start - 1-for-3 with a double). The business of baseball is not for the faint of heart and can be soul crushing when indentured to the wrong organization. He will persevere. by @jettervb

Now that I’m mostly retired, I have been reading quite a lot. Our friends gave us a book shelf today and Lisa and I are displaying our favorites. Need a suggestion? Hit me up. by @jettervb

Double major in Psychology and Cognitive and Behavioral Sciences, GPA above 3.0, first consensus First Team All-American football player in school history, great job awaiting you in Chicago after an adventure in Italy, wonderful girlfriend Jess… you have come SO FAR and make mom and me so proud! Love you J-Bone! by @jettervb
