A lot of people liked the story of the car. Here is some more about the restoration bit…..running from April 21 to Sept 23 before we got her properly on the road. Part of that was a 9 month wait for the second restorer.

Nights are drawing in, evenings are getting colder and sadly my weekends are full despite the sun shining and the roads staying dry so it’s time to tuck her up. It’s not forever, it’s just to keep the damp out while she is sat.

The Carcoon proving reliable again, battery charger on and drip tray in place. On the latter, I think I’m going to have the engine out this winter. Never been happy that it has leaked since rebuild and since the core plug rot out last summer I always worry what else could have been missed. It’s the perfect time and she can get a really good once over too. by @jeu_311

National Name your car day. I’ve never given her a name. She’s full of character and there have been suggestions…. Julie; close to the reg but can’t help but think about Ali G. Genie; something my grandad called my grandmother who was called Jean. Any ideas? Probably about time she got one! by @jeu_311

Failing light, drizzling rain, the perfect combination to get a photo in Bourton-on-the-water without a person in it. I reckon I had about 20s to take this before a car came though. Living so close to the place I’m sad I haven’t managed a very early trip to get more photos like this over the summer. Hope everyone has a good time at glorious Goodwood this weekend. Haven’t been since 2022 and well overdue a re-visit. I actually had a place for the mini that year in the carpark but the “garage we don’t like to talk about” put an end to that plan. It’s nice to see the weather has sorted itself from previous years too. Maybe next year it’s time to go again and actually get the mini to @goodwoodrevival. Keep the photos of all those cars flowing. by @jeu_311
