Last week, an unimaginable horror happened in a town my sister and I grew up visiting our nana in, and my sister, brother-in-law, niece and nephew now call their home. My second home, because the kids own my heart.

And now, those kids that I love so damn deeply have to process how other kids are dead. How it could’ve been them. It could have been their class, their teacher, their best friend. “Will they stay dead?” is something my nephew asked this week. About KIDS. About KIDS like HIM that can’t run, and can’t hide. And now, they must go back to school just one week later. News cycles will move on to something else, but this will live with Bend forever.

Children can’t keep dying due to guns. This is not an invitation to debate because for me, there is no debate. Pray for Silver Rail, pray for Bend; see you at the polls. by @jewellthenerd

A reminder to myself today. 🖤

Thank you to everyone that has called, texted, and checked in over the last 10 months - it’s been rough but reading has gotten me through 🙂

Going to try to post more consistently, but for now, here are my choices for October reads 💙 by @jewellthenerd

Peace out, chemo. ✌🏻 by @jewellthenerd

Over the last 9 months since this nightmare first began, the overwhelming love and support I have received has been…well….overwhelming lol

Whether you called, texted, liked my posts, sent care packages or flowers, went with me to a treatment, or even just had a silent thought/prayer for me, I love you. I thank you. You helped me get to this point.

While chemo is ending, surgeries await, and while I should be scared I am only feeling loved, supported, and excited for the future.

Ringing the bell and saying goodbye to chemo next Wednesday and can only take a limited number of people with me - if you wish to be there virtually, it will be live streamed on my twitch 🙂

Love you all to the moon 🌕💕 by @jewellthenerd

Just finished reading Of Withering Dreams by @authorrowynadelaide and WOW.

Holy moly, what a ride! This debut novel from Rowyn Adelaide is beautifully written, easy to move through and completely addicting.

Set to release on March 20th, you can pre-order on Amazon and/or kindle! If you’re a fantasy lover, you won’t want ti miss this one!

The rich world building makes you feel like you’re in the book yourself, and the constant twist and turns keeps you on your toes. The FMC is flawed in ways that make her unbelievably relatable, and you can’t help but feel a part of her story.

When reading fantasy you can just tell when an author has poured their heart and soul into something, and this us definitely one of those books! by @jewellthenerd
