KINDA CHIC 🧾 HEVRUTAI EDITION ☑️

✔️ kinda chic to ask what happened immediately before that. It’s called chronological order, and yes, it changes what follows.

✔️ kinda chic to ask for the primary source. Not Wikipedia. Not TikTok. I’m talking verified, baby.

✔️ kinda chic to know that a viral claim is not a source. A lie can circle the world before the truth even gets its pants on.

✔️ kinda chic to verify what the chatbot told you. Domo arigato, Mr. Roboto 🤖

Some things are always in style: source checks, timeline checks, passive-voice audits, and refusing to let the feed do your thinking for you.

☑️ Kinda Chic, HevrutAI edition: for people who still believe in chronology, sources, verification, and using AI without outsourcing their judgment. 📋 #kindachic #trending #jewish by @jewniversalstudios

💙 BOY GEORGE IS A HERO 🦸🏻‍♂️
When standing beside Jews becomes controversial, friendship becomes courage.

Boy George didn’t have to say anything.

He could have remained silent.
He could have protected his reputation.
He could have followed the safest path.

Instead, he released We Will Dance Again—a song remembering the people murdered while dancing on October 7 and affirming that Jewish lives matter.

Moral courage often carries a cost.

History remembers the people who stayed beside their friends when it became unpopular.

To every person who refuses to abandon the Jewish people because it’s fashionable to do so:

We see you.

We remember.

And yes…

We will dance again. #wewilldanceagain #boygeorge #standwithisrael✡️🇮🇱 by @jewniversalstudios

Every superhero dreams of the day she can hang up her cape.

Today is Tisha B’Av.

We mourn the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash.
We mourn the fractures that still divide us.
We mourn a world that is still living in galut.

People sometimes ask why I created SuperJew.

The truth?

I never wanted to need her.

SuperJew exists because every generation has been called to protect something precious: our memory, our covenant, our people, and our hope.

But that’s not the ending I’m praying for.

I’m praying for the day when Jewish children can wear a Magen David without fear.

When truth no longer has to fight to be heard.

When the Jewish people no longer have to defend our right to exist.

When “Never Again” is no longer a warning—but simply history.

I’m praying for the end of galut.

For a world healed of sinat chinam.

For the day when all of Am Yisrael is gathered home, and Jerusalem is no longer just the city we face in prayer, but the city where we stand together in joy.

Maybe the greatest victory isn’t that SuperJew saves the world.

Maybe it’s that one day she won’t be needed anymore.

Maybe one day she’ll get to hang up her cape, come home, and simply be another daughter of Israel among all her people.

May this be the last Tisha B’Av in galut.

May we merit to welcome Mashiach, rebuild Jerusalem, and celebrate together—

לשנה הבאה בירושלים הבנויה.

במהרה בימינו. אמן. by @jewniversalstudios

THIS ISN’T JUST A MURDER. IT’S A WARNING.

This is why we do this.

This is why we talk about radical ideologies that subordinate women.

This is why we refuse to pretend that every culture treats women equally.

This is why we push back against the romanticization of people simply because they are perceived as “oppressed.”

Jamey Carney is dead.

Her 13-year-old daughter found her mother’s body.

Investigators are searching for the man they believe is responsible after he reportedly fled the country.

If the investigation continues to confirm what it currently appears to show, this tragedy should force difficult conversations—not silence them.

Europe has spent years dismissing concerns about misogyny, coercive control, and the treatment of women in some communities as “bigotry.” Too often, legitimate questions are met with accusations instead of honest discussion.

Compassion is a virtue.

Naivety is not.

As Gad Saad has argued, there is a difference between empathy and what he calls “suicidal empathy”—when compassion becomes so untethered from reality that it blinds us to genuine risks.

Jamey’s daughter deserved to grow up with her mother.

May her memory be a blessing.

And may we have the courage to confront uncomfortable truths instead of looking away. by @jewniversalstudios

‏🔥 DRASH DROP // KORACH

‏Korach begins with a claim.

‏A compelling claim.

‏A claim that gathers a crowd.

‏A claim that sounds righteous.

‏The Torah does something remarkable.

‏It does not ask whether the claim is popular.

‏It asks whether the claim is true.

‏Today, claims spread farther and faster than ever before.

‏Crowds repeat them.

‏Leaders endorse them.

‏Algorithms amplify them.

‏But repetition is not proof.

‏Agreement is not evidence.

‏Volume is not wisdom.

‏Jewish tradition offers a different model:

‏Hevruta.

‏Questioning.

‏Challenge.

‏Machloket.

‏The willingness to place an idea into the fire and see whether it survives.

‏A blacksmith does not fear the forge.

‏The forge reveals what the metal can become.

‏So too with ideas.

‏A claim that cannot survive scrutiny was never strong.

‏A claim that emerges from examination is stronger than before.

‏Truth is not what survives agreement.

‏Truth is what survives the fire.

‏Shabbat Shalom.

🏀🗽🌳MAZEL TOUGH NEW YORK 🏀

🗽🌳🏀🗽🌳
613.
The number of mitzvot.

The number hanging in Madison Square Garden in honor of legendary Jewish Knicks coach Red Holzman.

Not a jersey number.

A victory number.

A legacy number.

The number of games Red won as head coach of the New York Knicks.

And on 6/13, the Knicks brought the championship home for the first time since Red’s 1973 title team.

Fifty-three years.

An entire generation waiting for another banner.

Then came a team that refused to quit.

A team that kept fighting back.

A team that carried New York’s stubborn spirit all the way to the finish line.

The symbolism is almost too perfect.

613 hangs above the Garden.

613 is the number of mitzvot.

And on 6/13, Knicks history came full circle.

Coincidence?

Maybe.

But as Jews know, meaning is often found in the connections between things.

From Red Holzman to today.

From 1973 to 2026.

From one generation to the next.

The banners endure.

The city endures.

The people endure.

🌳 Am Yisrael Chai.

🌳 Knicks Nation Chai.

🌳 The drought is over.

Mazel tov, New York.

🌳 ZIONISH 🇮🇱

An olive tree has many branches.

But only one root system.

Tonight, as our brothers and sisters in Israel return to bomb shelters, and Jews across the Diaspora turn toward Jerusalem in prayer and in hope of return, I find myself thinking about roots.

We are one family.

One tree.

Etz Chaim.

Am Yisrael.

Scattered among many nations.

Connected to one homeland.

Connected by roots deeper than fear.

Deeper than politics.

Deeper than exile.

NO TREMBLING KNEES.

The branches may reach every corner of the world.

But the roots still point to Zion.

🌱 Something new is growing. ✡️

For years I’ve written and made art and wrestled with my own thoughts about memory, identity, education, and continuity. Along the way, I found myself asking bigger questions:

What should remain human in an age of AI?

What work is worth doing even when machines can do it faster?

What knowledge should be transmitted?

What should remain slow?

Today I’m launching TevAI — a new publication exploring Slow AI, human flourishing, meaningful work, education, memory, and the future we’re building together.

The first post is live.

On Shavuot, Jews do not simply remember revelation.

We reenact transmission.

The Torah was never meant to remain frozen in a single moment at Sinai.
The rabbis imagined revelation like sparks from a hammer; scattering outward across languages, generations, arguments, books, conversations, and lives.

Every generation inherited the same responsibility:
to carry something sacred forward without letting it disappear.

The vessels changed.

✡︎ oral teaching
✡︎ manuscripts
✡︎ printed books
✡︎ digital networks

But the mission remained the same.

From tablets…
to tablets.

🏛️ YOM YERUSHALAYIM 💙✨

Jerusalem is one of those places that never really leaves you.

The light on the stone.
The alleyways.
The walls.
The feeling that history is breathing beside you.

This year, these photos feel different to look at.

The hostage posters and memorial stickers layered onto ancient Jerusalem stone.
The quiet corners of the Old City.
The reminders that Jerusalem is still carrying the weight of everything our people have lived through these past few years.

And somehow that feels deeply Jerusalem too.

A city built from memory.
From survival.
From longing.
From return.

For thousands of years Jews turned toward Jerusalem in prayer through exile, persecution, and generations of displacement.

We never forgot this city because it was never just a place.

It lives inside us.

🚨 THIS JUST HAPPENED 🚨

Israel’s government has reportedly instructed the initiation of a defamation lawsuit against The New York Times following publication of the Kristof opinion piece and its amplification of extreme allegations against Israeli soldiers.

This matters far beyond one article.

Because once emotionally explosive accusations enter the global information bloodstream through prestige media platforms, the damage rarely stays confined to the “opinion section.”

Corrections do not travel as far as the original accusation.
Nuance does not spread as fast as outrage.
And once Jews or Israelis are framed as uniquely monstrous, the social consequences become very real.

This is why forensic verification matters.

Not censorship.
Not narrative control.
Verification.

Extraordinary accusations require extraordinary evidentiary standards before they are amplified to hundreds of millions of people.

The question is not:
“Which narrative feels emotionally satisfying?”

The question is:
“What survives adversarial scrutiny?”

🇮🇱📜 DECLARATION DAY 🇮🇱✡️📜 77 years ago, a declaration was read into the air of a tiny room in Tel Aviv.

But it was never meant to stay there.

“The Land of Israel was the birthplace of the Jewish people.”

Not a slogan.
Not a hashtag.
A statement of history, continuity, memory, and return.

This Declaration Day, Jews around the world are reading the declaration aloud again — in homes, schools, campuses, synagogues, offices, and communities everywhere.

Because May 14, 1948 was not only a political event.
It was the restoration of Jewish history back into Jewish hands.

Read it.
Share it.
Pass it forward.

Not from one room.
From every room.
