TRIGGER WARNING

I am Jane Doe. No, really, I am. If telling my story helps others and makes men see just how common this is for women, I'm prepared to bare my soul.

What was I wearing? Hmm, when I was 3, I have no idea. Who can remember that far back? When I was 9 to 13? I remember one occasion wearing a Jurassic Park t-shirt with some jeans. But I'm pretty sure I wasn't dressed “like a ho!”

Was I drinking? Well, at 3, 9, or 13, I think you can safely say no.

Did I ask for it? Come onto him? My uncle and stepdad? Nope. In fact, I recall pleading for it to stop over 4years.

Did I get justice? First time? No. In fact, I'm pretty sure everyone swept it under the rug, and only my mum mentioned it when I was around 14. The second time? Not at first, I reported him aged 14, and the police did nada. I went back age 30, though, after extensive counselling, and he got 16yrs. He got out in less than 10. Yup, he's out and about free to abuse another little girl in the Liverpool area.

How did I get over it? I didn't. It's a daily battle. I suffer with complex PTSD, RSD and certain words and actions take me back to that dark place. People think I'm dramatic, sensitive, or too much. I'm just trying to survive and have a normal life. I ask that my friends or potential relationships are patient with me, and whilst friends can be, I've learnt relationships may be off the cards for me.

If you're struggling too, I will be here for you. Almost every woman will be Jane Doe. We need to stick together until this system changes. I hope I haven't scared or triggered anyone, but if you want to talk, I will answer all (reasonable) questions 💜

How is it Sunday afternoon already?! 😭 The weekend went by in the blink of an eye. Still, working from home tomorrow so it's not too bad.
To cheer us up, and to reflect on the fact it's getting cold, we have Duff in hats and various other headwear 💜 He does suit them all tbf, I can only pull off certain styles, and as I learned 2 weeks ago, a beret is NOT one of them 🤣 I wonder if Duff could rock a beret?! 🤔

Happy #sluffsaturday 🥳 Well, it's been a game of two halves today, for me. First Amazon launched a parcel (10kg of cat litter FYI!) at my door, scaring the shite out of me! But them I found out I'd been paid early! Which cheered me up 😂 Always a good idea to use money to make me happy 😊
Anyway, no theme today, just two gorge guys who make our hearts beat a lil faster 💜 What could be better?!

TGIF MFS 🤘 Oh at last! So sorry I'm late, busy old day! It was past 6pm when I got home 🙈 I've had a great day tho, hopefully you have too 💜 I usually save "Daddy Duff" for his daughters' birthdays or Father's day but there's so many, I figure it'll give us the warm fuzzies we need on an Autumn day 😍 Duff is an awesome dad, he was definitely meant to be a parent. Me, on the other hand...hell no! 🤣 I'd sooner eat my socks!

I think this may actually be my last video from The Cavern, whenever that was 🤣 I can't remember the date and I can't be bothered checking. My camerawork wasn't too bad considering I was drunk. "Welcome to the Jungle" indeed, that's my life right now, a fucking Jungle 🙌 but getting my ducks in a row and sorting shit out to make things better for my sanity.
