So grateful to @sandiegomag for this beautiful feature and for the opportunity to share a little more about JFiN Collective, my approach to curating, building collections, and my love for San Diego’s creative community. 🤍

At the heart of what I do is a belief in the connections between artists, galleries, collectors, and institutions. Supporting this ecosystem not only strengthens San Diego’s cultural community today, but helps create a foundation for future generations to experience, engage with, and contribute to the arts and our great San Diego community.

As the ecological crisis deepens, the art world—traditionally enmeshed in systems of extraction and spectacle—is increasingly poised to make a meaningful bid into #sustainability. We’re honored that ‘american minimal’ has been nominated for a @foreverbalboapark sPARK Award for ‘Igniting Innovation’. This award celebrates bold ideas that reimagine the Balboa Park experience.

Co-curated by @anitajfeldman of @sandiegomuseumofart and Jennifer Findley of JFiN Collective, ‘american minimal’ reframes Minimalism through the lens of pioneering artists—past, present, as well as underrepresented women artists—who transformed the movement with light, material, and perception. This exhibition doesn’t just tell a new story; it asks us to see more by looking at less.

JFiN has been hitting the fairs this season, and we’re loving every minute of it!

From gallery walks across New York City to visits at NADA, TEFAF, Frieze, and Independent, we’ve spent the past several weeks immersed in conversations with artists, galleries, curators, and collectors.

Fairs are a chance to discover new voices, revisit artists we admire, uncover exciting opportunities for our clients, and of course raise a glass with old friends. While we’re on the hunt for our collectors next great acquisition, artists continue pushing their practices and never cease to amaze us!

These are just a few highlights from New York Art Week.

What a night! @joshhermanceramics brought his Kurinuki workshop to one of San Diego’s most beautiful spaces and it did not disappoint. Guests carved their own ceramic cups, shared good energy, and experienced the magic of @joshhermanceramics firsthand, all inside the stunning @grangerhotel in the Gaslamp Quarter.

The Granger is a space where art and hospitality go hand in hand and deepened by curated immersive experiences by the hotel’s Director of Arts & Culture @jfin_collective ; @joshhermanceramics is honored to be the first artist featured in Art After Hours.

Josh and JFiN have a longstanding relationship and this evening was a beautiful reflection of that 🤍
