I worked relentlessly for two years without being paid. I then charged $20 per shoot, brought a ton of value to people over & over again…

The shocking part about my journey is that I never dreamed nor had a planned for these things, all I did was put in the work and showed up EVERY TIME.

Well actually, I didn’t even know it was possible. I grew up in Haiti & at the time I had no dreams/no destination, I was in survival mode. I know so many people who came from a similar environment can relate.

When I moved to the US I was happy to get a job earning money even if at the time it was minimum wage. I was grateful! I soon realized there was more to life. I’m really damn thankful and privileged to even be here, not a lot of people where I come from get the opportunity to do so. Therefore I don’t take anything for granted.

Once upon a time….this didn’t exist in my life.

Surrounded by people with the same mindset, who understand what it takes.

The sacrifices are worth it, the adversities are needed, that’s what shapes the person you are becoming.

Walk by faith, not by sight.

Every moment in my life is sentimental…it’s tied to something meaningful personally to me.

Many won’t understand the level of gratitude I have for God until you’ve walked in my shoes.

I used to listen to this song, “Hard Knocks,” on repeat, catching 3 buses & a train to get to work & school every single day. That is a total of 6–7 hours spent on the road before Uber & Lyft became so popular.

Most people have dreams of being something. I did not have that dream. I felt too far behind to even dare think of being something more than I already knew, & if that’s you…

What changed for me was my environment. Sometimes we box ourselves in only with who we know and what we are comfortable with.

I challenge you to change your horizon, and your mindset will shift. Once that shifts, your life will follow. by @jflowpix

In the field with my Haitians. The process is always bigger than the wins.

We all came here to win 🏆 but it’s the process that truly separates us. You gotta love the grind more than the glory. by @jflowpix
