Some of our favourite beauty-moments developed for our self-initiated Cartier Baignoire internal R&D exploration. ⌚

Some moments are precise and recognisable. Others are exaggerated, blurred or reduced into almost graphic compositions which translate in less about explaining the object, and more about creating a feeling around it.

A little like a fashion show, where not every look needs to be literal, the more abstract moments can set the tone while the product itself brings everything back into focus. That tension became the basis of the film, using atmosphere and clarity, abstraction and detail, and last but not least, motion and stillness.

Baignoire through time, motion & form.

With much of our work currently focused on the luxury-beauty sectors, it’s always nice to jump back into our roots in the product design world.

Rather than treating time only as something the watch measures, we wanted to explore its passage visually through motion blur, depth of field and abstraction. The optical little intricacies that make our process so enjoyable and yet it connects incredibly well with the narrative and metaphors around the product.

The result moves between detail and atmosphere, celebrating the iconic form of the Baignoire while allowing it to become something less literal along the way.

New York — October, 26.

Hi everyone, we’re very happy to share that we’ll be spending a good part of October in New York, catching up with clients, friends and collaborators across the city.

We’ve got a few exciting things happening in the US at the moment, so it feels like a particularly good time to be here, see people properly and have a few conversations away from screens for a change.

And while catching up with familiar faces is always lovely, we’re equally keen to meet some new ones.

A little internal R&D from the studio.

We’ve been exploring a bit with chromatic gradients, metallic fluid-forms and the relationship between light, colour and materiality.

And to break just a tad from the whole fluidity, layering in UI and data visualisation to introduce a more technical language to the imagery.

A nice blend between the abstract and the informational without losing simplicity.

Some of our favourite molecular-moments developed for our No7 Prime Forever CGI science sequence. 💎

Before arriving at the final film, we had a great R&D time exploring how collagen could exist as a material, a landscape and almost an entire world of its own.

We explored dense structures versus scattered formations. Soft biological forms against crystalline surfaces. Macro textures, freezing studies, fragmentation, scale and different ways of how these elements would be moving through the environment.

A few of the routes that helped us find that balance in science-led CGI. Letting the idea clear and the science legible but keeping the beauty through the sequence.

A collagen universe, suspended in time.

New work for No7 Prime Forever™, created alongside VML and WPP Production.

For the CGI science sequence, we translated collagen and its protection into an abstract world of fluid forms, crystalline structures and freezing motion, moving between microscopic detail and almost planetary scale.

Science, storytelling and visual craft. Right where we like to be.

We recently worked with Tom Dixon Studio and nude to create a short director’s cut film, showcased at Ambiente Frankfurt.

We approached the piece as a small narrative sequence, tracing the formation of glass through light, movement and reflection. The ripple became a central visual language, connecting the physical behaviour of the material with the design sensibility of the product.

Through a monochrome palette of smoke, silver and deep blue, the sequence reframes glassware as a sculptural object. Each frame explores the duality between precision and fluidity, turning the material qualities of glass into something atmospheric, tactile and quietly dramatic.
