Last month my friend @j.fontenot held a housewarming party at her new home in a sweet little nook in Taos County.
Myself, @nancygrabowski6 and few others took a walk to checkout the property and take in the sunset. The sky lit up in pastel pinks and blues. The blooming chamisa (Rubber Rabbitbrush) soaked up the fading light and we all agreed, this is one of the many reasons why we are here.

Sunrise over Pueblo Peak.

I was loving the streaks of mountain shadows on the clouds!
Perhaps I could’ve used different settings to bring out more of the textures. The light was changing quickly and I was running through a few different settings. I feel that this was my best attempt.

Well…
This is pretty damn cool!!
My photo of the John Dunn Bridge was selected to be in the @taosfallarts Festival. September 18th through October 4th.
I found out about the festival from my friend Phil, just a few days before the submission deadline.
I didn’t think I was ready, I didn’t have anything ready to go, edited, printed and framed. I didn’t think I could pull it off.
But then you have to enter The Phil Factor. Through an unwavering amount of encouragement and support, Phil convinced me to enter a photo.
I got it in, on the deadline.
It was accepted!
I definitely couldn’t have pulled it off without Phil’s help and support.
He’s currently working on an independent film, @ishues_documentary . Please follow the IG account for the film and encourage Phil and his team in the same way he encourages others. He’s currently trying to enter the film into as many Independent Film Festivals as possible. So if you know someone in the industry, please pass it on to them.
