We were able to sneak away for a long weekend. This year we were able to check out @courmayeurmontblanc @grand_montets and @verbier4vallees .

Our guide Octavio @octavio_defazio from @chamonix.experience was amazing and kept us busy everyday finding some amazing off piste lines.

🌲 An Ode to Our Christmas Tree 🌲

In the ‘quiet’ glow of winter,
our Christmas tree stands tall—
a keeper of stories,
a witness to the life lived
within these walls.

We found it first beneath a sky of frost,
cut it down with laughter in our breath,
carried it home like a treasure—
needles trailing a path of joy
toward the heart of our home.

Setting it upright,
we circled it the way families do—
hands full of memories,
boxes full of years.
Each ornament lifted
is a chapter retold:
little glass windows
into the way we love.

Our tree speaks without a whisper-
It tells of the mountains we’ve chased,
traveling far, seeking adventure,
camping beneath starlit skies,
taking the winding trails,
playing outside until the sun dips low,
the open air where we feel most alive,
working with our hands
the way makers and dreamers do,
the shared ritual of good wine,
roads that lead us far and wide, adventures stitched into who we are.

It holds the heartbeat of our home—
family game nights that stretch too late,
movie nights curled beneath blankets,
and the loyal love of our closest friend—
our dog, always near,
always part of the story.

And woven through every branch
is the simplest truth—
family, love, and the way
they make a house feel like home.

Every year, we gather again,
reminiscing, adding, cherishing—
a new ornament,
a new memory,
a new reminder
that this—
these people, this warmth,
this beautiful, imperfect, beloved life—
is what Christmas truly is.
