9x12 inch drawing in walnut ink with fan brush and dried stick that I shaped into a flat head, bound together by binder clips. Finally reached the stage where I'm starting to shape tools; so fun! Dual headed tools definitely make one retain flow easier and at the same time push one out of their comfort zone. I think the ultimate goal would be to interchange each stroke one after the other with each end. I read that Monet would load 20+ brushes beforehand and then go to town. Might be worth looking into taken in Reno, NV by @jgansk

Some quick sketches I did copying interiors from Winold Reiss. Would love to get to the point where I could enter a room and do a quick 1-2 minute sketch of it. So boring doing so many straight lines though, seems like it transfers the essence of drawing from "living" to the purely mechanical taken in Reno, NV by @jgansk

New art room setup. Will have to redo it in a couple of months but it's functional. Quickly realizing that one can never have too many shelves taken in Reno, NV by @jgansk

Been grinding portraits from reddit lately. Not that great but getting better and faster! Probably need to do around 200 more to get a handle on them. Keep pushing that rock up the hill! taken in Reno, Nevada by @jgansk

First picture I took in my new art room dated Jan 10 2026. Messy, but an art room should be so, otherwise one is not working hard or absorbed enough taken in Reno, Nevada by @jgansk

First OIL self portrait. I messed up by making my eyes too dark, I was trying to go for a ying yang composition because that's the ultimate minimal symbol. taken in Reno, Nevada by @jgansk
