But 2/3 of the episode is about a body in a filing cabinet...

A typical cargo spaceship, the Mysterious CHIRP, experiences a shocking turn of events when a routine run becomes anything but (okay, there's a murder) and Purser Sammi Love steps in to solve the case. Sabotage? Theft? Betrayal? What's an intergalactic accountant to do?

Terrans, picture if you will, a brusque and garrulous Jotnarling, huge and hilarious. And a bit reminiscent of a Klingon General.

Brilliant actor JG Hertzler (Deep Space Nine) returns to The Mysterious CHIRP in Season 2, reprising his role as Ambassador Bartok (and the crowd goes wild).
Fun fact: Ambassador Bartok is Joe Dove's ( of Captain's Quadrant) favorite TMC character!

You can learn more about Joe and his live of all things Star Trek in our latest Between the Seasons Interview, wherever you listen to podcasts.

As we near May the 4th and the celebration of Star Wars and science fiction in general, I was moved to reflect on early sci-fi experiences in my own life. The year was 1977. I was a child. I saw Star Wars and Close Encounters that year, and was changed forever.

Here's my reflections (link in @hol.adams bio). What are yours?
