Not my best post but my recovery is going strong and I’m getting my skills back, my wall cork put a bit of stress on my hip but the pain is finally fully manageable.

The side of recovery that gets me the worst is the depression of not doing the thing that grounds you to who you are as a person, parkour is my life and because I haven’t been able to train much this past month my mental health and motivation have both taken a huge hit. Today I had to force myself to go out and spent so much time psyching myself up to do these tricks when they used to be something I could do easily. I feel like a shell of who I was and everything I do keeps me bound with fear of feeling that pain in my hip.

Today was the first day the pain of doing any skills didn’t stop me from being able to do more. I’m taking each day as it comes but for right now I’m proud of myself.

This doesn’t seem that big but it’s my first flips since the worst injury I’ve ever had, I broke my finger and thought I tore my hip and knee, my knee is feeling pretty good but my hip is still very sore by @jgrosetricking
