There is a lot that is “invisible” in making comics.

Check out my Patreon for more about my own medieval comic ⚔️

I’ve been wanting a cute notebook in which I can plan future comic ideas and practice using my alcohol markers with ZERO BLEED-through on thick paper, and I found it with the new @ohuhuart dot grid journal. It’s perfect.

With chapter 4 of "Girl-Knight" done, here's what its stack of comic pages looks like!
This is the longest chapter (46 comic pages + 2 chapter illustrations)---it's heavy 📑
If you'd like to read the comic, you can download the chapters from my Patreon's shop.

Chapter 4 of my medieval action comic is finally avaible to read. A whopping 46 comic pages and 3 illustrations are included in the packet for only the price of a latte.
This chapter took a little over a year to make---it concludes Alys' training. In the next chapter, the knights head out!
You can buy it on my Patreon shop! (Link in bio) by @jgv

Just completed drawing this comic page that features a few panels with horses. I posted it on my Patreon and explained what references I used to draw them as good as I can. Using a dizzying combination of my horse doll, Clip Studio Paint’s 3D model, and real reference photos (not included in this instagram post), I was able to draw them!
I go into detail why you shouldn’t rely on 3D models alone in my Patreon post. 👍

Here are some closeups of a painting I recently made (and vlogged on my YouTube channel). I plan to use it as the cover for chapter 6. This scene will make sense in chapter 6 because the knights will be fighting mercenaries!
I’m stuck drawing chapter 4 still but I’m so excited for what’s to come…

New vlog is up on my patreon for early access!
It covers a whole week in my life where I visit the California Pen Show (lots of stationary goodies acquired), learn how to use the latest Tourbox Elite device for my improving workflow, I edit an art vlog, and do more comic drawing. It'll be available on my youtube channel this monday.
