Have you read this or will you add to your tbr?

A female apothecary secretly dispenses poisons to liberate women from the men who have wronged them. It sets two lives across centuries on a dangerous collision course ⚗️

Lost apothecary follows the dual timeline of two women across the ages, whose stories somehow end up impacting each other

I had a preference for the past timeline, with its secrets and mystery. But the current timeline was very relatable as well ❤️‍🩹

I could feel the hidden apothecary, the secrecy, the weight of every choice this woman took.

It’s not a fast-paced, plot-heavy story. It’s more about the characters, their choices, and the consequences that follow.

Bonus on this one: my husband really liked it as well, and it was so nice to read the same book together.

The premise was so interesting. Greek myth, dark academy, found family, Hot and dangerous mentors, funny and sassy serpent pet.

But...I didn’t love it.

I just could not connect to the writing style.

And I liked Alexis (mfc) but I just couldn’t feel her relationship development with the male characters.

It felt a bit like a book written for booktok that was rushed to publish.

The being said, I finished it in a day and somewhat enjoyed it. But I won’t be reading the next one. taken in Zürich, Switzerland by @jh_writes

The struggle is real! Every time I think I'm done, something new pops up. A new tip I read that makes me realize how to fix an issue, or an idea right before I go to sleep 😂
It's taking a lot longer than I initially thought but I'm persevering, and making progress 💗

How many "final" drafts do you have? 😂
I always seem to say the things I wish I was rather than actually am 😂
I truly believe myself when I say my book is done, but something always pops up...often at 3 am 🙈
