Every cotton thread carries a story — of earth, hands, heritage and time. With Pattu Reimagined, I celebrate the beauty of Rajasthan’s traditional Pattu weaving, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

My dream is to make the world fall in love with cotton again — not just as a fabric we wear, but as a living craft whose journey from fibre to fabric deserves to be seen, felt and cherished.

Cotton and I go way back. 🤍

Since I was a little girl, I’ve always felt drawn to cotton. I remember finding my way through the cotton fields of my ancestors, surrounded by those little white clouds growing on the earth.

Perhaps my love for cotton began there, long before I knew what I would do with my life.

Today, as I work with textiles, I feel like I’m finding my way back to those fields, back to a part of me that has always been there.

And maybe that’s why cotton will always feel like home to me. 🤍

My journey with cotton is more than a love for fabric; it is a love for the stories woven into it — the hands that create it, the traditions that sustain it, and the beauty of its simplicity.

With Pattu Reimagined, I bring my love for Rajasthan’s traditional Pattu weaving into my world of cotton, reimagining its heritage for today while honouring the craft at its heart.

My dream is simple: to make the world fall in love with cotton — to look beyond the finished fabric and discover the people, processes and poetry that bring it to life.

When I look out into the vastness of space and think about the billions of galaxies spinning through the void, I feel completely humbled by my own insignificance. I am just a microscopic dot, a brief flash of time in an unimaginably ancient and massive cosmos. Yet, in this smallness, I feel a profound sense of connection rather than isolation. I know that the very atoms making up my body—the iron in my blood, the calcium in my bones—were forged inside the hearts of dying stars billions of years ago. I am not just a bystander looking at the universe; I am a living, breathing part of it. When I bow to the immense power of the cosmos, I realize it is the universe itself waking up, looking back at its own creation, and marveling at its own existence through my eyes.

I am humbled by EKA’s magnificence and entirely eclipsed by its vastness, yet deeply grateful to exist as a conscious spark within its design. @ekabridgehouse thank you!

EKA- The Bridgehouse

Eka the Bridgehouse is not just a structure; it is where my soul surrenders its resistance to the absolute rhythm of the earth. Suspended in perfect harmony with the landscape, this sanctuary forces me to quiet the noise, strip away ego, and yield entirely to the raw, grounding energy of nature. It is in this profound state of surrender—where the boundaries between architecture, soil, and self completely dissolve—that true artistic clarity is born. By letting go and allowing the earth to speak through me, creation ceases to be an effort and instead becomes an inevitable, breathtaking masterpiece.

“I designed this free-flowing, grand cape specifically as a tribute to Eka – The Bridge House. Hand-painted with the chakra symbol on the back, the garment serves as a visual metaphor for universal energy and life force. Its immense scale is intentional; it stands to remind us that no matter how much wealth we accumulate, how grand our possessions become, or how extravagant our clothes appear, we remain mere specks in the vast expanse of the cosmos. In these frames, I bow in deep humility to Mother Nature—the ultimate power that created us.

EKA itself stands as a testament to this exact philosophy. It defied the traditional human belief of “what is impossible” by choosing collaboration over dominance. It didn’t fight the earth; it worked with Mother Earth. It reminds us that nothing truly incredible can be built without the cosmos supporting you. When you approach creation with good intentions, strong values, and deep respect, the universe naturally opens its arms. It is a beautiful, sacred chain of energy.

Letting this energy flow within the vastness of my inner space.

This is a first for M….
Stepping outside my comfort zone of organic cottons and easy, ready-to-wear silhouettes to design my first haute couture piece was a beautiful, deserving leap. When @jennifer.vesta asked me to create a custom look for her friend’s wedding in Beijing, I did not hesitate cause I love change & ideas that widens my perspective. And mostly importantly it was her who I was designing for.

My world is slow fashion—simple, functional, grounded. Couture is a different beast entirely. But I took the challenge, and it slowly evolved into an incredible personal journey. This process became a masterclass in collaboration. Jennifer is someone who intimately knows her own mind. She understands her strengths, her vibrant energy, and exactly how she wants to command a room. Balancing her precise vision with my own design philosophy wasn’t a compromise—it was magic. Together, we brought a dream to life, creating a powerful, unmatched look that honors her distinct presence while staying deeply aligned with who I am as a designer.

@jennifer.vesta you adorn M in a way like none other. You choose to make them your own. And the best representation of my core values that minimalism is not mundane, that cotton is not just for comfort, and that style is superfluous & fluid….. it is on the go & flows just like the way you live, like the air. Flowing with this energy with M, makes it easier & merrier.
