Our first exhibition. 🥹🌸 And honestly… it did NOT go the way we had imagined. 😂 But somewhere between setting up the stall, waiting for customers, talking to people and packing everything back up, we realised we learnt more in one day than we could have by just sitting behind Instagram. 🤍 A few things we learnt: 🌷 You pack your entire business into suitcases and bags, secretly imagining you’ll leave with half-empty ones. 😂 🌷 Setting up and settling everything takes SO much more time than you think. 🌷 People might ask you everything, check every single piece, try things on, appreciate the collection… and still decide not to buy. And that’s okay. 🫶🏻 🌷 The display needs to be easy to browse, not just pretty. 🌷 You really need to know your products because people ask EVERYTHING. 😂 🌷 And one slow day doesn’t mean people don’t like what you’re building. But we did take something really valuable back with us — a lot of new contacts and probable buyers. 🤍 People who discovered Jhimki for the first time, followed us, saved our contact and might come back when they’re actually looking for something. 🌸 And would we do it again? Absolutely. ✨ Because beyond the sales, we got to meet people, hear what they liked, understand what they were looking for and get feedback that we simply wouldn’t get sitting behind Instagram.
