Cutting my hair wasn’t just a haircut—it was a release.

For so long, I believed the things people told me:
“Never cut it.”
“You couldn’t pull that off.”
“Your hair is part of who you are.”

But hair doesn’t define me.

I’ve had men tell me not to do it. I’ve had friends tell me I shouldn’t. And honestly I wrestled with all the questions

What I didn’t realize was how much fear, expectation, and even bondage I had attached to my hair.

The moment it was gone, I felt free.

Free from needing approval.
Free from the identity I thought I had to maintain.
Free to embrace every part of who God is calling me to become.

This wasn’t about losing something.
It was about gaining freedom.

Happy 10th Birthday to my sweet baby girl my WatWat 🎉🥹
Ten years ago, God gave me one of His greatest gifts you. My precious Jesus baby, my middle child and one of the most beautiful pieces of my heart.
You keep me rooted when life gets busy, remind me what truly matters and somehow always know how to make me feel loved. Your hugs are my safe place, your smile is my sunshine and your heart is pure gold.
Watching you grow has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. You are kind, strong, thoughtful and full of light. Everything I could have ever prayed for and so much more.
And while you’re growing into such an amazing young lady I still can’t believe you’re already 10. Weren’t you just five yesterday? Please slow down a little stink your mom is still trying to keep up!
My prayer is that you always know how deeply you are loved, how wonderfully God created you and how special you are to everyone lucky enough to know you.
Happy 10th Birthday, my beautiful girl. You’ll always be my baby, even when you’re taller than me and think you know everything. ❤️
