UNYTED’s debut at Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival (9/19) 200m - 🥈 500m - 🥇 2k - 🥇 ERDBA 🏆 Congrats to @eastdragon_ny_fj 🥈 @baostonbbb (AAA) 🥉 as well on their respective podium finishes and thank you @gwndragonboat for yet another fun, organized and well run festival! 🙌🏼 We couldn’t be more proud of this crew for their hard fought battles and becoming the new regional/overall sport open champs to wrap up our 2026 DB season. Also, big thanks to our 2 DC friends (Collin & Brian) who came up to help us fill the roster! 🤝🏼 We will take some time off to reset, reflect on what has been an unbelievable season that has gone way beyond our wildest expectations. DB season may be over but some of our paddlers are still preparing for a few more outrigger races such as Chattajack @chattajack and Nish @nishoutriggerchallenge over the next few months. We look forward to seeing y’all on the water at these races again soon. Looking ahead…stay tuned for our info session on upcoming 2027 season from us in the coming weeks! 🤙🏼 by @jiffipop
UNYTED Paddling Club are 2026 CCWC champions! The Club Crew World Championships in Hualien, Taiwan ended a couple weeks ago and we’re all still trying to wrap our heads around everything that happened. Representing New York City, the greatest city in the world, UNYTED sent a small boat SrA open crew to compete on the world stage. We won our division with 3x gold medals🥇🥇🥇in all 3 distances to complete the sweep, while posting the fastest times across the board! It was an accomplishment that hasn’t fully sunk in yet for any of us. While the destination was way beyond expectations, the journey was the real magic. “You are a product of your environment” Starting with the mission to foster an inclusive community of like-minded athletes across New York City to train and grow as paddlers. That is what NY in UNYTED stands for. But that mission will not be achievable without the support of our community willing to believe in it and the support of so many friends throughout this two year journey. From buddies offering the use of their boats, to athletes from other teams helping to fill seats, as well as friends across the country sending us messages of support when we were making our way through obstacles and growing pains. We truly appreciate everyone who played any part in helping us realize our goal. 🙏🏼 This has been an incredible journey for all of us and we’re just getting started! Shout out to all NYC based teams: CONGRATULATIONS to @catch22nycdb on their strong showing, especially with the incredible debut of their women’s crew on the international stage! 💪 And HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to @ueaadragonboat on their unbelievable CCWC campaign, bringing home 🥈 and 🥉 in the toughest and most stacked premier division! It was great to see them on the podium at the pinnacle of our sport. 👏 Next up for UNYTED will be Regional Champs at Mercer County Dragon Boat Festival this Saturday to wrap up our DB season. See y’all there! 🤙 #ccwc2026 #idbf #dragonboat by @jiffipop
2026 Hudson River Cup (OC6) 🗽 What an amazing race weekend at HRC hosted by @kealohaoutrigger @hobocobo 🙌🏼🤙🏼 We couldn’t be more proud of the 3x UNYTED crews who took to the water. This weekend marked the strong debut of our Women crew, taking 5th out of 13 in a remarkable showing. Big congratulations to the @phillyoutrigger women on a dominant win! 🥇💪🏼🙌🏼 Our two Men crews went toe-to-toe with some of the fastest, well-established outrigger crews from all of east coast (and west coast). Our top Men crew fought their way to 4th out of 12, continuing to build chemistry and closing the gap on that podium with every single race. Meanwhile, our second Men crew showed tremendous heart and growth, soaking up invaluable race experiences. Huge shoutout to our friends at @nca_outrigger on the well-deserved win! 🥇🤙🏼🙌🏼 People often ask us: “Where and how do you guys train OC6?” Our answer? We unfortunately have not been able to. (Not yet, anyway! 🥲) We are a hybrid family of dragon boaters and individual outrigger paddlers. To step into an OC6, adapt on the fly, rely entirely on raw grit and individual skill, and still throw down with some of the best show great potential as a brand new club and we are very excited to continue showcasing what NYC paddlers have to offer in the future. Quick S/O to @kentislandoutrigger and @washingtoncanoeclub for the canoe loans! 🙏🏼 Next up… UNYTED paddlers turn their attention to CCWC in Taiwan 🇹🇼 and they will be at @nishoutriggerchallenge hosted by @kanaluimiami later this year! by @jiffipop
2026 NCA Minimental & Monumental UNYTED Paddling Club’s successful visit down to DC for a fun filled race weekend hosted by @nca_outrigger @ncaminimental Conditions got a bit challenging on Saturday small boat race and shout out to all of our paddlers who embraced the challenge and competed! Shout out to @_dunbae on the win 🥇🙌🏼 (rigged!! 😆) Strong showing from @teemonkey @malolocanoesurf @caprissun the only 3 V1 entries who took on the new race course on a hard mode 🙌🏼💪🏼 and walked away with some 🥭 On Sunday Monumental, we sent 3x full crews entirely made up of all our club members! UPC Brunson #11 (men) came in 4th overall behind some really strong top crews from the east coast! Shout out to @wbocc @washingtoncanoeclub @nca_outrigger on your podium wins! 🙌🏼🤙🏼 Our UPC Bodega KAT #32 (men) & UPC Anunoby #8 (mixed) fought really well and learned a lot from this race to carry forward to our future races. All around good vibes, well run, awesome people, and great competition all weekend. We will be back here again for sure! Next OC race…UNYTED will be at HRC 2026 by @kealohaoutrigger in a few months! See y’all there 🤙🏼 by @jiffipop
UNYTED’s first standard boat race! Since we started this paddling club last year, our goal was to spread the joy of paddling in as many ways as we could. It started with our SrA small open boat competing for a Club Crew World Championship berth, which we earned by winning gold. It later pivoted to sending a men’s and a women’s crew to Nish Outrigger Challenge down in Miami. And last weekend, we kicked off our 2026 season with our first standard boat race at the Independence Dragon Boat Regatta in Philadelphia where we sent an open boat featuring 17 guys and 2 gals from our club, with help from all around good guy James Dunbar @_dunbae (love you, James!). We walked away with our first gold at IDBR! 🏆 We relied on the experience of each and every one of our paddlers to hold off @catch22nycdb , @penndbc , @dcdragonboatclub , @eastsdragons , and the @ppd_dragon_boat in the final. It was a great showing by every team. Congrats to Catch22 and PennDBC on their podium finishes! Our mission is to foster an inclusive community of like-minded paddlers across New York City to train and grow as paddlers. We want to learn from one another and compete together at the highest levels. In the past year, we’ve welcomed many new club members from various NY-based teams including UEAA, Catch22, WSD, and MAD, to watermen looking for new avenues to compete. We hope to continue growing and fostering paddling in New York! Next up on the list is a trip down to DC for @ncaminimental & @nca_outrigger Monumental for OC1 and OC6 racing. And then it’ll be a trip up to Montreal for the CanAm Club Crew Championships as we tune up for Worlds in Taiwan later in the season. by @jiffipop
Four days of technique work and breakdowns, video analysis, and drills. And then this happened. Honestly? This is exactly what a great coaching week feels like when it's done right, you work hard together, you pour everything into the athletes, and when the last session wraps you just... let it out. With a dance! Houston, you gave us everything. We gave it right back. The Hardest Part Was Saying Goodbye Day four just wrapped. I've been sitting on the edge of the dock for the last ten minutes watching this group and trying to find the right words. Four days ago these paddlers arrived at a certain level. Today they left as genuinely different athletes, not because of any single drill or cue, but because for four days they were surrounded by people who cared as much as they did. That environment does something you cannot manufacture anywhere else. Watching it happen in real time never gets old. The video above is the close of the Houston clinic, Days 3 and 4, where everything from the first two days finally landed in the boat. If you've been thinking about attending a clinic, this is what it actually looks like from the inside. UNYTED Paddling Club debut OC6 race! What an awesome way to end the 2025 water season with beautiful weather, surrounded by paddling friends, and all around good positive vibes at @nishoutriggerchallenge!!! UNYTED fielded men and women open teams - shout out to all paddling friends from NYC and Boston for the collaborative effort! Both teams came in 4th in their respective divisions and 8th overall. This was a great opportunity for us to see what NYC paddling community has to offer and we see a lot of potential to grow! We hope to bring a lot more competitive racing opportunities like this in the future and we can’t wait to share what we’ve been working towards soon! Stay tuned 🤙🏼 Event 📸 @val_stepanchuk by @jiffipop
