Ironman. How did I end up here?

Most you know lacrosse was my sport (above average at ground balls). I kept chasing the dream in men’s league. 2023 FLL Semifinal, first run of the game…snap. My left fibula bone. SEE YA!

I figured I’d move on from contact sports, so 6 weeks into recovery, my only goal was to walk a mile. Bone swollen, calf on fire, but got it done.

Then my mom nudged me into our neighborhood 5k. Zero pacing strategy, 200 lbs big body at the time, no real running background—just sent it. The hook was set.

Around this time I came across David Goggins’ books and it didn’t take much after that to sign up for a Half-marathon. Then a full marathon in Sarasota with @brandondanowski1 + @adamscalisi. Missed my target time, but crossing that finish line? Runner’s high BABY.

Talked with @wyatt_todd2 about Ironman… and suddenly a 70.3 was on the calendar. Time to learn how to swim and bike…

Fast-forward: Lake Placid 140.6. Months of training, recovering, and planning led to one legendary day.

At first, I said “one and done.” But the truth is - it’s the process that hooks you. The GRIND! Looking back at the wake behind the boat is something to be proud of.

So here we are. Hurricane Season. Gonna go for a 50-Mile Ultra-Marathon next. Let’s run. by @jiggimane23

Anchoring the NEW timeline with some proof of post college lax athleticism. Got some catching up to do here since deleting the old jiggimusic page in Dec 2023. A nice 18 month detox off social media. Highly recommend!
