#cesealgenocidio #altoalfuego #palestinalibre by @jigs_pr

Frieze London opens tomorrow! EMBAJADA is pleased to present new and recent works by Puerto Rican artist Jorge González Santos as part of the fair’s Artist-to-Artist section, for which he was nominated by artist Gala Porras-Kim. Rooted in Puerto Rico’s material culture, ancestral knowledge, and cultural histories, González Santos’s presentation brings together a series of drawings made with lampblack, a black pigment the artist has harvested from soot collected from oil lamps 🪔 The series began with Toali, named after the three-pointed Taíno carved stones traditionally associated with ancestral spirits and agricultural offerings. Depicting these ceremonial objects alongside other Taíno symbols and designs, González Santos draws connections between Indigenous traditions, the land, and the transmission of cultural memory. The use of lampblack recalls the photographic documentation of early 20th-century archaeological investigations of the Caribbean, while reclaiming these forms through a contemporary artistic practice. Expanding on this exploration of ancestral knowledge, the works presented at Frieze London consider the creation of a communal house, revealing the hearth as its fundamental pulse—a sacred gathering place where fire finds its permanent anchor in stone. Through these elemental relationships between fire, stone, and shelter, González Santos reflects on how raw space becomes a place of communion, collective memory, and shared history. 📍 Frieze London 2026 Booth #AA3 The Regents Park, London October 14–18, 2026 Photos: María Laura Benavente, courtesy of Tenerfe Espacio de las Artes by @jigs_pr

#teamdelcec #maniobra #escueladeoficios by @jigs_pr
