Into the world of rave? 🤔

For me, we need to spin it back 10 years… 🫨

Growing up in Devon, the free party scene was everything. 🐄

I went to my first event when I was 18, in Exeter. Just a month later, I went to my first proper rave, in the woods of Haldon… 🌳

There, I discovered a world that immediately became an obsession.

I’d listen to @jigsoresound records every single day. I was religiously chasing Devon heads with a rig every weekend, regardless of the weather or distance.

I had to get my own.

So I spent every penny from my weekend job on amps, cables and racks. Then, at the end of a long summer of saving for uni, I bought one singular Void Stasys X…

My parents were not happy.

I was elated. 😂

What followed was many a broken speaker, questionable decision making, and ultimately some of the best memories of my life.

Then @jigsoresound scooped me up at 20, after we met in a quarry… 💃🪩🕺

That’s when things really got out of hand. 🏴‍☠️

More broken speakers. Bigger questionable decisions. And certainly a few experiences I’m not going to write about here… but ones I treasure close to my heart.

My parents were never ravers.

I didn’t inherit these records.

Devon brought me into this world. The free party scene laid the foundations. And @jigsoresound played a huge part in creating the life I’m living today.

That’s where my inspiration comes from.

So we’re back.

12th September, @monkeysuitexeter for @n4records X @head.whack, with the @jigsoresound rig and a BUNCH of mates, doing what we do best…

PROPER DEVONSHIRE RAVE UP BUSINESS! 🫨🐄💨

If you’re thinking about coming along, I wouldn’t think for much longer. Tickets are flying, and we’re pulling out all the stops…

What a wild journey this has been. The last few weeks have properly been a pinch-me moment! 🤯

From the forests, fields and quarries of Devon, to disused industrial estates in Bristol, to playing records all over the world, alongside the people who’ve inspired me since I was 18.

That, is one WILD rush! And the story continues… 🫨

So what inspired you?
