Still cannot believe this album is 25 yrs YOUNG!

Fun backstory: Ed probably doesn’t remember this, but Kevin and I actually had the chance to record with @edcashstudio way back before he was the big ole producer he is today. He was someone we used to do Martha Bowman youth camps with via our friends @btanner28 & @markfritchman. We led worship, and Ed was the special guest on one of the nights. What a story teller & songwriter!! The only thing was, we were dirt poor post-college aged kids! So when we were gifted access to a free studio by Mike Bedingfield, we went about this on our own. Did we know anything? Of course not!! Are there things we wish we could’ve done differently or re-recorded to “update” things even for today? Without a doubt! But in the end, we believe the heart of where we were at was captured and pray that these songs will still speak to us today as they once did back then. Deepest love & shout out to @thomascmelissa & our beloved @ugawesley friends & alum! Love you all!

Hard to comprehend that 25 years ago the iconic skyline of this city I love was forever changed. I still get very emotional every time I visit or get a view of lower Manhattan.
I will never forget that day. 9/11/2001 ❤️‍🩹

Edit:
I also just learned that if you see a white rose on a name at the memorial, it means on the day you visit, it would’ve been that person’s birthday - signifying their life & not just that they passed that day. And this one florist whose shop is a few blocks from there has donated them all over all these years 🥹 by @jilee17

I’ve never lived in Florida but it’s also very easily “home” because of the lifetime of friendship I’ve gotten to share with so many. A lot of us met going to summer retreats in high school together and then some more during college & in our 20s. And what a joy it was getting to celebrate @davidlarryk’s 50th bday & 25th anniversary pastoring at Harvest. What a life of faithfulness he and @olivejesus have demonstrated and given. I believe in heaven, we will finally all be on the same block or neighborhood where it won’t be as hot & humid as it is in FL. Haha taken in Orlando, Florida by @jilee17

All England Lawn Tennis Club ✅🎾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧

This one deserves a proper cheesy caption, bc it really was such a dream come true!

My interest in tennis began when Michael Chang was the youngest to ever win the French. I didn’t grow up with a lot of people on screens who looked like me, so seeing a fellow Asian play at that level and win was so extraordinary.

I followed loosely during the Agassi - Sampras - and eventually Roddick era of American men dominating the sport.

Then along came @rogerfederer & @rafaelnadal …

And they were in their early primes when I lived in Australia, so I headed to Melbourne one of those years & got to see the Williams sisters play doubles, Novak as the first singles men’s match live & then Rafa the next day. I remember literally shaking when Rafa came on court. He was larger than life to me at that moment. Ha!!

It wouldn’t be for maybe 6-8 yrs later that I FINALLY got to see Roger after trying year after year at the US Open.

I’ve also entered but never won the Wimbledon ticket lottery.

FFWD to this year >>

So when @harrystyles’ shows lined up with the 1st wk of the slam this year, & @rachelabaldwin was up for giving it a go, we just entered the day with the hope of queuing up and making it in.

Well… we queued up, and we GOT IN!!!

Unforgettable experience! Never seen anything like it. Also… for £33??!! 🤯🤯🥹🥹

It’s been on my bucket list for over a decade to go to all 4 Grand Slams. 3 down. With Roland Garros as the last one to chase! 🇫🇷

We got to watch @bigfoe1998 from Court 12. And watch @serenawilliams (on Centre Court) & the @stanwawrinka85 + @matberrettini EPIC battle (on No. 1 Court) on the grounds. [Did not know until later that this would end up being Stan’s final match. I’ll miss seeing him play]

We did all the things: ate fish & chips and tried the Pimm’s cup and the strawberries and cream. 🍓😋

Am I still floating?! Yes. Yes, I most definitely am!
And will I go again!? Yes, most certainly, yes!
