So thrilled this painting just found a new home yesterday! Such an honor, though bittersweet too as I part with it and send it off. But I know it will be loved! #abstractartist #mixedmediaartist #njartist #grateful by @jill.hellman

Another fabulous Open Studio weekend at Manufacturers Village. So many great conversations about art and life and my work of course.. So grateful to everyone who stopped by and to so many who walked away happy with my pieces. It’s such a thrill. #mixedmediaartist #mixedmediaartist #manufacturersvillageartists #eastorangenj by @jill.hellman

Just got back from a fabulous week in Santa Fe. An inspiring, intensive deep dive workshop with @janeburtonart and an amazing group of artists. So aptly called Fearless Abstraction! I was way out of my comfort zone painting 5’ x 5’ canvases. But we did it. And we did it well. At the beautiful Santa Fe Artist Getaway @b.todd.arts. Such an inspiring place to paint and just be! #abstractartist #njartist #fearlessabstraction #santafeartistgetaway #santafenewmexico by @jill.hellman

So thrilled these 3 collages have found a new home. I started them in London at the residency I did in June and finished them at home. It’s always bittersweet letting them go, but I do love knowing they’re out in the world and being appreciated. #soldwork #mixedmediaartist #collageartist #njartist by @jill.hellman

Another wonderful show opening @bankartgallery in Newburgh NY the other night. So grateful to be included in “Flow State” with 5 other amazing artists: @amanda_kopp_ @colleenjamesart @mkasminart @thesharonleaf. Thanks to @lisapetsuart for curating and putting it all together. What a great night! #mixedmediaartist #njartist #newburghartgallery by @jill.hellman

Wonderful show @drawingrooms_jc through October 11. The theme is “Torn,” which is right up my alley, and apparently many other artists as well. So much fabulous work. Thanks again to @annetrauben and @jamespustorino for including me. #mixedmediaartist #njartist #jerseycitynj #jerseycityartgallery by @jill.hellman

Thrilled to have this collage accepted to the juried @drawingrooms_jc show called “Torn.”
I started this in London and finished at home.
I just delivered the piece and got a glimpse of some of the other work in the show. It’s going to be a very cool show. Thanks to @annetrauben and @jamespustorino. They always do an amazing job. Can’t wait to see it at the Opening September 12.

While my studio is still in transition since my move, I’m having fun with some smaller pieces. I love working big, but I also love working small. Completely different, very satisfying. These are 6 x 6” mixed media on cradled wood panels.

Another Pantone card collage. 4 x 6”. So much fun playing with these colors. Each day I pick a card out of the box without looking and make a collage, leaving some part of the original color showing. I do love constraints. Every day is so different. #mixedmediaartist #njartist #pantonecards by @jill.hellman
