Teyana Petunia Taylor @teyanataylor has to be one of my biggest inspirations. So overlooked and undervalued, but one of the most talented, dope, humble, beautiful, and kind people. I was supposed to go see her last year in LA for her Last Rose Pedal tour but I had to go the ER. Then I tried to see her again in SF & she went to the ER 🥴 it wasn’t the right timing but SITW was it. When I met her, I told her that’s she’s the blueprint, my inspiration and she deserves ALL THE THINGS. She gave me a huge hug and said we will work together one day. She held my hand gave it a squeeze, and I truly believe her. The way life works, we’ll cross paths again. I absolutely love her, and I’m so glad we finally connected ❤️ #SITW #teyanataylor #HYWI taken in Washington D. C. by @jill_amore

Something in the Water ❤️🌊 was such a vibe. I got connect with some of the dopest people walking on this planet 🪐 Always a good look to be around empowered black people, but even more so on Juneteenth 🙌🏽 it was liberating, light and overall just incredible energy. taken in Washington D. electric lady⚡️

She'll walk in any room have you raising up your antennas
She can fly you straight to the moon or to the ghettos
Wearing tennis shoes or in flats or in stilettos
Illuminating all that she touches, eye on the sparrow
A modern day Joan of Arc or Mia Farrow
Classy, Sassy, put you in a razzy bazzy
Her magnetic energy will have you coming home like Lassie
Saying ooh shock it, break it, baby
Electro, sofista, funky, lady
We the kind of girls who ain't afraid to get down
Electric ladies go on and scream out loud
