The Four Seasons premieres tonight on #netflix. It was as joyful to work on, as it is to watch. And if you really want to know how the actors were irl I’ll tell you…THE BEST. by @jillbrownstunts

I don’t know about you, but so far 2024 is not awesome. So here is a picture of me in really good light that accentuates what used to be fine lines, but thanks to a big smile and low estrogen are now legit wrinkles.

I’m fine, but can we say a little prayer for those who are struggling? Get it together 2024.

I am so proud of this amazing athlete @bmore_cole. He auditioned with tons of kids and booked his first #commercial! He took direction so well, he went with the flow, he knew how to hit his mark and find the lens, he didn’t complain when he had to wait around for hours between shots, and just like a real pro he pocketed a ton of craft service for the drive home. I worked with hundreds of #athletes and #actors and this kid is a pro!

Rhoda is one #marshalls t-shirt away from a #hoarders intervention. Then again maybe Marie Kondo can hire her. You be the judge!

Last year I was lucky enough to work on @meangirls in the dirty bird, a.k.a. New Jersey. The job was both challenging and deeply satisfying. We had the most talented cast and crew and a dream stunt team that was so top-tier, so team oriented, so egoless, so creative and so darn skilled, that I get all the feels thinking about them.

Mean Girls got to break new talent (@_samogden_ @piperbrown17 @brookedoeseverything ) and yours truly got her @directorsguild card.

Go out and see Mean Girls in the theater. That’s right, a real movie theater!

Passive income they said?? Well that’s a knee slapper. There’s nothing passive about being an #airbnbsuperhost especially in Joshua Tree, California. In fact it’s relentless. The barrage of texts drain my phone battery multiple times a day. The scheduling and logistics are akin to air traffic control. The maintenance is a never ending money pit and EVERYONE wants to arrive early and leave late which makes me one shallow breath away from a full blown panic attack. Stunt coordinating is easier!

Then they’re the murder winds, scorching sun, wildlife and prickly landscape who’s sole purpose is to make me “go back to LA!”

Just when I think things are running smoothly, something breaks, bursts, shatters or just gets covered in so much dust it’s rendered useless.

Oh and how about the haggling? This isn’t a used car lot!

Get a property manager they say. What will that do? Crush my tiny margins that’s what. But that’s not why I do it.

I do it because (here come the all caps portion) I LOVE HOSPITALITY SO MUCH. I mean I really do. I love sharing this property and landacape. I yearn for others to experience what makes this tiny, weird, beautifully ugly part of the earth so magical. I love each and every text with their questions and attempts to save. I want guests to get the most time they can to sleep in or roam around. I love providing the good linens, towels and products. Not the cheap stuff. You deserve it. I love the new friends I have made from hosting. One actually took me to my colonoscopy! I Love giving local recommendations where to eat, drink, hike and or see an alien. I effen love hosting as challenging as it is. I can’t believe it’s taken me so long to find “my calling.”

So blow up my phone. Ask for discounts. Ask to arrive early and stay late. Ask for the moon. I’ll try to make it happen and if I can’t there is a telescope in your cabin.

When your #stuntwomen friends say, “Let’s do a chill hike” and you’ve been on #strike for months they really mean “let’s F this mountain up!” The moonrise and post puzzle reward outweighed my descending panic attacks. Or maybe it was the tequila.
