Don’t tell them I told you this but Murderbird is obsessed with books about pirates and naval battles. They’re also a big fan of boats in general, which confuses their friends because they can literally fly (??) but when they point out that flying is obviously better than sailing MB gets all sullen and quiet and leaves to brood for a few hours.

Anyway, I’ve been sick all week and finally had enough energy to do something cool (paint). Pls send me a boat to take me to wherever can cure me. by @jillian.fleck

Stress drawing from two months without good internet. Whenever I am on hold with Telus I work on this. I had to add a bunch of stuff to take up the multiple hours I have been on the phone. Unicorn people are my passion. by @jillian.fleck

Feeling pretty done with this one, have had this future/concept scene from my webcomic Murderbird! My Love! in my head for over a year now and vividly see it whenever I listen to Kate Bush. A big problem about making comics is you have cool ideas for scenes that will happen hundreds of pages later and sometimes you just want to get it out of your head. by @jillian.fleck

Thank you to @the_new_gallery and @patrick.moskwa and @natashafayejensen for making the Earthlings exhibition happen! What an incredible show with one of the greatest openings I’ve ever been to. It was so exciting to debut my newest painting Cosmic Mouthpiece made with my own handmade ink and hand grown crystals in response to the residency I recently attended in Kefalonia, Greece. I loved getting to show off these natural pigments as well as exploring a pantheon of queer grotesqueries.

Finally saw the Wrestle Bus in person. Unfortunately the bus was stuck on that corner for five minutes before the white jeep finally backed up enough for it to turn and people were getting nervous about some rando filming cars on the street. by @jillian.fleck
