What a short but sweet football season! God is always good, even when His plans don’t match up with our own.

Over the summer, I fully tore my ACL, medial meniscus, and lateral meniscus. This definitely threw my plans off course. I was preparing for dance for the year and had been training hard all summer to prepare for football and competition season. Dance is something I love so dearly, so having it taken away so abruptly felt devastating.

Leading up to surgery, I was incredibly anxious. This was territory I had never experienced before, and I was scared to fully trust in the Lord because I felt like I was going in blind to what the future might hold. But as surgery got closer, the Lord continued to press His peace over me.

God surrounded me with friends who showed me so much love, care, and compassion throughout this season. He has opened my eyes to things I never would have noticed if I hadn’t been placed in this situation. God has given me one of the biggest opportunities to trust Him, and I am so grateful He has.

I’m 4 days post-op, and I’m doing pretty good! I ended up having no tearing in my lateral meniscus! There have definitely been challenges and pain, but this season has given me such a beautiful opportunity to lean on the Lord not only for spiritual strength, but for physical strength too.

I still have a long 9 months ahead of me before I can dance again, but I am so grateful God has placed me with such an amazing team, coach, friends, and family to support me through this journey. Most of all God will never leave you. He is always vigilant and by your side every step of the way!💛💛
