to know my grandpa was to love him, and be loved by him. the funniest man who made friends everywhere he went, all 98 years. he taught me how to draw and introduced me to my love of art and music, smuggled me ice cream after bedtime at every sleepover, spoiled me with rocks and toys and cameras. i feel lucky to have had him in my life for 26 years and to have been his “favorite” (he loved us all lol). and he was my favorite. the one person who always made me feel the most seen and appreciated, and loved. he always listened to me, made sure i was never looked over or ignored in a crowded room and reminded me how much he loved me every chance he could. i am DEVASTATED that i won’t get to call him up whenever i want to hear his voice again. i will miss him every single day.

don’t give grandma too much trouble now, i’ll see you again someday. by @jillianrcromwell
