🇯🇵 TOKYO AUTUMN PACKING TIPS 🍂 if ure coming here around October! 🤓 My biggest tip: DON’T OVERPACK WINTER CLOTHES!

It’s still autumn here, and Tokyo hasn’t been that cold for me so far. So light layers, not heavy winter wear. I would have packed more tshirts & shorts, maybe just 1 long pants for the evenings. I was here for about 10 days. I’d rather pack light and buy anything extra if I need it. More space for shopping haha.

Of course, everyone’s tolerance for cold is different, and the weather can change, so check the forecast closer to your travel dates!

My mum tried Oden for the first time! 🍢🍥
And of cos it had to be in Japan! And it was so yums!

This was at Sunamachi Ginza Shopping District, a street of food, markets and local delights. More locals than tourists. Although a bit more travelling to get to, if u wana soak in more local culture, this was an interesting street to explore.

MY MUM GOT ME A TATTOO IN JAPAN! 🥰🇯🇵

So my mum is my biggest fan. And I am her biggest fan. So of cos the tattoo had to be a…fan. HAHAHA. Jokes. I love Japan. I love waves. I love fans (auntie in me). And I love my mum. So combined all these to remember our little Tokyo mother-daughter trip together.

Side-note: Found this little studio online that does walk-ins and tattoos take about 30mins upwards (depending on size/complexity/etc). So great for tourists who wana get a tattoo to remember their trip. Mine was a medium size and took about 90mins total (30mins design/placement + 60mins tattooing). Also Mie-san was super nice and awesome. Thank you 🫶🏻

Tips:
• Head there early to get a slot (they open at 11am. I got there about 10.45am and was 3rd in line).
• Give yourself at least 2hrs or more for your session (just in case).
• Have your design/size/placement ready to save time.
• Hydrate and eat before the session.
• Make sure to bring cash (credit card had a surcharge).
• if you don’t have enough cash, there’s a Lawson ATM nearby
• Make sure u leave urself 2-3 days before flying so ur tattoo can heal up before the flight.
• Remember to bring moisturiser for your tattoo once u remove the 2nd skin
• Pat yourself on the back for doing something fun Hurhur
