Sorry, Texas, but you don’t hold a candle to California for me. 🤣 Went adventuring up in Big Bear yesterday. It was the most gorgeous weather on our hike, Kyra got to play in the water, went to the nature center, got chased by little ducklings, stopped for ice cream in the village, walked down to the marina and took the scenic route down the mountain in the rain. I think it’s safe to say we had a good day! 😊 by @jillybean0414

My sweet EZ Life aka “Breezy” crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday. She was my first and definitely my heart horse. I could not have asked for a better partner. She was the sweetest girl and everybody fell in love with her. She taught me so much and I will forever be thankful for all that she did for me. A month or two before I left Texas, I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot with Kyra and Kodi. The portraits just got delivered today and I immediately cried. Seeing Kodi immortalized in a photo stirred up some big emotions for me. I will cherish these photos forever. Words cannot even begin to describe the devastation I feel tonight. Kodiak, my once in a lifetime dog, crossed the rainbow bridge. Every single person that met him, from the moment we brought him home, fell in love with him. He was such a calming spirit. The amount of comfort he brought to me and a lot of my coworkers as he sat quietly under my desk is astounding. Even if he wasn’t the biggest cuddler, he would always allow it to happen. He was our number one adventure dog, always down to go whenever the wind took us. For fourteen years, you brought so much joy to our lives. You’ve taken a huge piece of my heart with you, Goji Berry. Run free Kodi Bear, and keep the three huske-teers in line. I know they were waiting for their alpha. We love you sweet boy 💜 by @jillybean0414

I had my first riding lesson in over 8 years today and I could not be more ecstatic. Despite it being over six years since I’ve even been on a horse, it was like riding a bike. Muscle memory is something else. I may not be as strong as I once was, but the foundation is still there. Thank you so much for @wildlingequestrianllc for helping me get back in the saddle. And of course, thank you to Finn for being the best partner and forgiving my mistakes. I could not stop smiling the entire time I was at the barn. 💜 taken in Nohl Ranch Saddle Club by @jillybean0414
