“You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand” John 13:7 As the gavel dropped closing the 99th National FFA Convention and Expo, it too closed my chapter with this organization. Over the last 6 years, I have been blessed to find a family within this blue jacket that stretches from corner to corner of this great nation. I have found within it friends that will last a lifetime, a passion for the industry, and most importantly what kind of person I hope to be. While I may not be ready to let go of this organization so soon, I find comfort in knowing that there is a plan in place for me which is far greater than I could ever imagine. I trust in his process and remind myself that while this may be a time of sadness, it is also a time of great celebration for all that’s been achieved. As I hang up the jacket one last time, I do so with a sense of gratitude and peace. Thank you to the thousands of FFA members who have rallied around me over these last few years. It is my greatest hope that in this time I have been an influence to you to continually strive for success. Each and every one of you is worthy, capable, and undoubtedly deserving of whatever your heart desires. Thank you for making me feel at home within this organization, and know that because of members like you, this will forever be my hardest goodbye 🤍 With immense gratitude, Your 2026 Maine FFA National Officer Candidate, Jilly🫶🏻 by @jillymclaughlin07

just me, my suitcase, and approximately 1,800 new miles on my car 🚘 ✨🫶🏻 Feeling so beyond blessed for the opportunities this jacket has provided. From taking ride alongs in a combine in Iowa, shopping for families in need in Oklahoma, to coming right back to Staunton High School in Illinois where it all began to host workshops for students, these last 2 weeks have been nothing short of incredible! Thank you to everyone at @johndeere , @okstate , @ffastaunton for making these engagements possible! 🚜✨🛣️ by @jillymclaughlin07

“If you wanna make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and then make a change”🪞 Jillian, thank you for showing us all that although the world may be tough, so are you. You’ve demonstrated how paving a path of our own in this world may not be easy, but it will always be worth while. As you move into your next chapter, never be afraid to take the road less traveled and always remember that, as the great Dolly Parton once said, “If you don’t like the road you’re walking, start paving another one”. Thank you for your year of service 💙💛 by @jillymclaughlin07

Time well spent🤍 Over the last 6 years, 2,191 days, 52,560 hours, and 3,155,760 minutes, I have lived every second in this blue jacket as if it were my last. With every moment spent in this jacket comes an opportunity to make a change. A change in a community which leaves it better than you found it. A change in a student’s life that will change the trajectory of their experience within agriculture. And a change within yourself that can help you grow in ways you never imagined. That is exactly what happened to me. I will forever be in debt to this organization and its people for shaping me into the person I am today. I will forever be in debt to Callie, Lane, and Hannah for showing me that family doesn’t only pertain to those you’re related to. I will forever be in debt to my AG teachers Mr. Davin and Mrs. Mccalla who first introduced me to the blue jacket. But most of all, I will forever be in debt to the members of Maine FFA who showed me what it means to be truly and unconditionally loved and supported. Thank you for everything🫶🏻 Officially signing off, Your 2025-2026 Maine FFA State Reporter🩵💛 by @jillymclaughlin07
