if you told me last year that this is where I would be,
i wouldn’t believe you.

as i drove away from my church on Sunday night, i was overwhelmed with love.

i looked at all the people that God had brought me to do life with, and was in awe.

jilly last year was barely ever vulnerable. like no one ever really knew me. now, people know me.

not just my coffee order, but who God has called me to be.
also, what makes me cry, what makes me excited, etc…

you need the Body of Christ. you need to be submitted to leadership that loves scripture but also walks it out!

you need leaders that can tell you no. and leaders that can tell you you’re doing a great job!

God did something remarkable this weekend.

This past weekend @saturateglobal @saltchurches @braveheartministries all hosted a Gospel weekend at UNCW

it was packed out with people saturday night and people came from all over to hear the Gospel preached. literally. all. over.

2 girls came over an hour away to the UNCW campus!

i met them in the beginning of the night and they told me how old they were, turns out they are 12 and 15!!

worship starts. 2nd song in. they tap on my shoulder and say “we both want to get baptized.” one was weeping and the other also knew how ready she was to get in the baptismal waters.

after worship and the message, they were the first ones to get into the water!

they ran up to me and the ministry team, took their shoes off and were ready to fully surrender to the Lord!

you are never too young to encounter the living God.

i sat with them and held their hands before they got baptized. i’ve never felt so much tenderness and compassion in my life. i started crying with them too!!

just me and the Son. ☀️

i took this picture and thought “this picture is way better because Jesus is in it with me”

He really truly is the Light of the world. darkness could never overcome Him. (John 1:5)

He shines so brightly! and that same light can live in you!

when you recieve the free gift of salvation (Romans 6:23) Jesus dying for YOUR SIN, YOUR SHAME, YOUR MISTAKES, and raising himself from the dead, and Him returning for you one day; by you believing in Jesus shedding His blood and body on the cross, you receive the Holy Spirit. Which is HIS light living in you.

like it talks about in Matthew 5, ““You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭

my life completely changed when i truly surrendered everything to Jesus. it was like i was seeing color for the very first time.

He is the light of my life. my joy. the reason i have freedom. He is everything. by @jillystringbeans

don’t ignore the nudge from God. even if it seems small.

my roomate, raylee, who i wasn’t with all day tuesday, sensed from the Lord that i was having a really hard day. and i was. i got that text from her that night she left flowers on my chair.

don’t ignore the nudge. Jesus literally saw my need for His love and met it through my roommate. i love you Jesus. thank you that you see me.
