Just got out of M Night Shyamalan’s TRAP. Is it a blatant plug for his daughter Saleka’s pop career? Afraid so. Does it feel oddly dated, as though you’re back watching a late 90s thriller like SUDDEN DEATH, SNAKE EYES or NICK OF TIME? Absolutely. Does it drop the rather brilliant high concept halfway through in favour of giving you more endings than THE RETURN OF THE KING? Yes and yes. Is it objectively a good movie? Hard to say, but probably not. So, not worth seeing then? OH HELL YES! I **loved** this film, and that’s almost all down to Josh Hartnett who gives 101% and reminded us horror fans how much we’ve been missing him without knowing it. Go see TRAP. Yes, please do. 7.5/10
