Tenerife throwback.

Back when my family thought I was ☠️🥹

I haven’t taken many photos of myself in the past 2 years. This was one of the last ones during the one year period living on the Canary Islands.

I had a broken phone and wasn’t reachable for at least 3 weeks though my family thought something bad had happened to me. Imagine how normalised it is these days to be reached 24/7 that people assume you’re dead when you can’t be reached for a week or 2.

Back in the days it was normal to travel without communication for months. Crazy how technology has changed our communication.

📸 @berto_arcos thanks for the photo hermanito.🙏🏻 taken in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain by @jimbutton91

Small recap of the Wellness Community event I attended as a photographer last Friday organised by @amara_circle at @fivezurich @refivespazurich. Also thanks to @amara_cacao for this interesting experience at the cocoa ceremony. Keep on putting this passion into what you love doing. @dr.kelly_official thanks for the interesting conversation about health and longevity. Loved meeting such interesting, health conscious personalities and doing a little bit of networking.🙌 taken in Five Hotel Zurich by @jimbutton91

Khao Sok National Park. There are places you will leave but some places will never leave you. Some places are too pretty even a photo/video isn’t enough proof. I spent 1 1/2 years living in the jungle and this was surely one of the my favourite places I have visited. You step into an ancient jungle as if you went back in time. I understand some people don’t have interest in visiting those places. To me it’s gratitude that I got the chance to see it with my own eyes. Thanks for sharing this journey with me @drivingyounomad @backpacking_tamilan would have loved to travel with you guys again.#khaosok #thailand #chewlanlake taken in Khao Sok National Park by @jimbutton91

Old but gold. Some memories of the Orin Aya Festival 2021/22. What would I give to come back to this place and Festival again. Such a spiritual experience.
I deeply miss the jungle and community we had there. Even I know many things we temporarily and lots of backpackers who got stuck there during C0vid kept moving on with their lives and eventually left the country again. Nothing lasts forever. But I enjoyed all these moments with Australia Backpacker family especially in times like these when the world around us got quarantined and we luckily had the time of our lives. taken in Cape Tribulation, Daintree National Park by @jimbutton91

Simply magical 💪🙌Hope to catch up with some of you guys again soon. A great reminder that the distance doesn’t always matter. 🙌

When in doubt, get back to nature and ground yourself again. Yes we do need money until we realise we actually don’t. Sooner or later our whole Banking System is down and what do you do then? Ask yourself who you are without it?once the old system is gone and you ll be given a digital credit based on „Good“ behaviour, that’s when you realise that this whole life seems to be like a giant illusion. We work for smth that actually doesn’t even exist and give it a value where none exists. Only when in places like these you realise how time stands still. Nothing special to look for. Just simple take a breath and enjoy the view, the silence. Nothing more to ask for. Whenever I went to those kind of places with a good bunch of great people, that was pure fulfilment. #queensland #daintreerainforest #capetribulation #australia taken in Cape Tribulation, Daintree National Park by @jimbutton91

Australia Memories :Backpacking/working across Australia is more than just going abroad and visiting some random tourist spots. It’s more about the connections you make. The ones who get the best out of yourself. No place I would visit couldve been the same without the right people. The people I connect a location with are more important than the actual location itself. You can be in the most beautiful location ever but still having a shit time meeting the wrong people. You can be isolated on a farm in the middle of nowhere yet still having a great time with great people.

Beautiful locations are great yet it’s always better if you can share it with others. Thanks for having you good c*nts.@giovannigraton @lifeforceessential @spidi93 @once1927again #australia australia #perth #westernaustralia #backpacking taken in Perth, Western Australia by @jimbutton91

I really love strolling around Zürich’s historic old town. Such much still to explore. Even I’m more of a nature person I still don’t feel this typical big city rush
that I would feel in other countries. It still feels more charming and relaxed here especially during the winter time without any big crowds.

being back in Zürich 🇨🇭 for now (hopefully everything 🇨🇭works out in the next weeks/months ) Feeling quite overwhelmed lately by the amount of information happening all across the world, it feels like it’s draining a lot of energy knowing you can’t influence anything happening all across, it’s hard walking around pretending nothing is happening but knowing too much is likewise quite frustrating. It stops you from really enjoying the moment and presence fully. I think the best solution will always be connecting more with nature again. Heading out to the mountains, doing more art work, meeting up new people and do creative projects together. Trying to find inner peace for the soul again.

Whoever is around Zürich, let’s create some artwork together. 🙌Painting, photography, dancing or simply hiking out in nature. And join me on some of the @socialcirclezurich events to create more meaningful connections 🙌

How do you guys cope with all the negative information out there these days? Let me know in the comments 🙌 taken in Zürich, Switzerland by @jimbutton91

Imagine aliens landing on earth; they see this and say yep let’s do a 9-5 until we die; eat poison food; stay stuck in rush hour; wasting time in a huge corporate office building. Never said ever by any aliens.
Life is a program; the program you get taught will ultimately influence how your perceive the illusion you choose to live under.

Until you wake up and realise all you need is already there:the ocean; the jungle ; wildlife; a good community; real food and sunshine. Love Pachamama @tropicalnorthqueensland @queensland @australia @sonyalpha @portdouglasdaintree

Wähle mit Bedacht, was du dir wünschst.

🇬🇧 While currently being in my hometown, I got the idea to create something very different than simply taking a photo of the market square in my hometown. Because the rainforest is what I love the most in my life and is a place where I could see myself living in the future.

Life gives you so many possible futures, you can’t fully predict the future but you have to work for it in order to shape it into a certain direction. Whatever you accept as a collective society is what we we all get in the end.

The first 2 photos are possible futures how our world could look in a sustainable environment. On the last slide is the sustainable environment megalomaniacs want us to get into and the world they (the ones on top obviously) are shaping for us ready for 2030. Technology isn’t always progress when it’s not being used to really help us or “facilitate” our lives but rather to make us even more dependent on the ones who are already pulling the strings upon us.

Choose carefully what you wish for. taken in St. Johanner Markt by @jimbutton91

2021 was the definitely a very transformative year full of great memories, tropical vibes but also also big uncertainties in a world that has completely changed forever. It helped me a lot to realise again how important and closely tied your health is to nature. The perfect work-life balance living/working on a tropical island, moving between early morning beach coffees, sunrise hikes to the Passage peak, hotel work to afternoon beach volleyball sessions, sunsets at one tree hill, evening football tournaments with my latin american groups. And obviously late evening staff pub meals/drinks. And all of this living close to the infamous Whitehaven Beach. Even the ability to go to the reef during days off. It’s been magical.
