Some of you have been missing my Airport Starbucks pics!🤠☕️So here is one in DFW Airport in front of an awesome American flag! Just wrapped up speaking several times at the AACC National Conference in Arlington, TX. So grateful for my many friends and colleagues in the AACC family. by @jimcress
went on a little retreat at one of my favourite authors' house & @_havenplace, several weeks back! such a special time. @lysaterkeurst's work as an author + Bible teacher coupled with her lived-experience, partnered with @proverbs31ministries’ theologian, @muddamalle's, theological expertise and her therapist @jimcress' clinical work have made her books + "therapy & theology" podcast a robust and well-rounded resource for me in journeying through a lot of difficult things. getting to have all three of them lend their expertise and walk through a retreat  and mini counselling intensive with us,  was so healing. what an incredible privilege to have them sit with us in care & compassion, as we trudged through things that needed the Lord's tender, loving care. also, I've been swooning over her house for years; (hence all the photos for future interior design inspo! eep!) — so seriously surreal to actually be there for a couple days and sit with her in her dining room, be in the primary kitchen, recline in her movie room and take in incredible teaching in such a beautiful space! the food was also sooo good; had Caribbean food one day and Greek food, another. and custom coffees to start our day. grateful to God for such a wonderful experience..! He is good. this retreat came at the perfect time, at the tail end of a whirlwind of a few months for us. likely gonna make a highlight reel, I took more videos & pics than can fit in this carousel haha. by @jimcress
When I ask my guests, What’s one thing you would encourage couples to do on the daily for their marriage? Their responses never disappoint. Jim’s answer on the podcast this week is no exception. So good! Check out the podcast to hear his answer. #marriageonthedailywithjulieb #marriage #connection #newlyweds by @jimcress
What happens when the person you trust most has been hiding something from you? When p*rn enters a marriage, the impact goes far beyond what someone is looking at. It’s the secrecy. The questions. The broken trust. The spouse wondering, “What does this say about me? Am I not enough?” And, the person struggling who may desperately want to stop but doesn’t know how. That’s why my conversation with Jim Cress on this week’s Marriage on the Daily with Julie B is so important. We don’t minimize the hurt, and we don’t pile on shame. We talk honestly about p*rn addiction, what it can do to a marriage, and what it takes to begin rebuilding trust and moving toward healing. If this is something you’re dealing with quietly, I really hope you’ll listen to the full conversation. There is hope. #marriageonthedailywithjulieb #marriage #newlyweds #connection by @jimcress
Can a marriage recover when p*rn has broken trust? For a lot of couples, this isn’t a hypothetical question. It’s something they quietly try to navigate behind closed doors. My conversation with Jim Cress this week on Marriage on the Daily with Julie B is about p*rnography addiction and the impact it can have on marriage. Jim brings both professional expertise and his own story of 21 years in recovery to this conversation. We talk about the person struggling with p*rn, the spouse who has been deeply hurt, rebuilding trust, and what the road toward healing can actually look like. If you or someone you love has been impacted by p*rnography, please don’t miss this conversation. #marriageonthedailywithjulieb #marriage #newlyweds #connection by @jimcress
So grateful for the serendipitous meeting today in the Tulsa airport with Sandi Patty and Don Peslis! Don is a fellow ”Tigger” Enneagram 7! We sat and talked this morning about things that really matter, the stories of our own journeys. It was over 32 years ago that I interviewed Sandi on the “Minirth-Meier Clinic” National Radio Talkshow. It was a Christmas Special broadcast. Today was another “Christmas” special for me. So grateful for Sandi and Don!🎙️🎙️🎉🎉🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️😎🎈🎈 by @jimcress
Some of the hardest things couples face are the things nobody talks about. P*rn is one of them. It impacts trust, intimacy, connection and the way we see ourselves and our spouse. This week on Marriage on the Daily with Julie B, I have an incredibly honest conversation with licensed professional counselor Jim Cress. Jim knows this struggle both personally and professionally. He is 21 years sober from his own p*rn addiction and has spent more than a decade helping others find freedom and helping couples navigate the impact it can have on their relationship. This is a really important conversation. If p*rn has touched your marriage or the marriage of someone you love, you won’t want to miss this one. New episode drops tomorrow. #marriageonthedailywithjulieb #newlyweds #connection #addiction by @jimcress
