It’s been a journey the last few years since launching @blokbstrmusic . We’ve had some luck and we’ve had some struggles. One thing that hasn’t changed since the very start is how much we love writing, producing and performing our music.

Some very very exiting tunes on the way from BLOKBSTR, along with this one that just came out - Flight! One of my favourite releases to date!

Releasing music these days is kinda weird. In one sense it’s super freeing, independent and accessible to anyone at basically any time - which is great! But on the other hand music and creative pages in general are getting lost in the noize of polarized opinions and fast fashion viral content.

Musics been around and important though since the first evidence of humans so it can surely survive a period of annoying short form content!

Still feeling inspired and energised on this pursuit of making things the world probably doesn’t need but for some reason feels important! 🍝

99, maybe my favourite song I’ve written yet. Out now via @blokbstrmusic

Got @osvsthewrld to produce it, he added the crazy synths at the end, and the huge drums.

Sammy and Lewis on the BV harmonies, piano, guitar.

Oscar mixed and mastered it.

It’s accompanied by a full length EP, with more songs to drop onto it in 3 weeks. Sammy, Lewis, Oscar, Kyle all helped with bits and bobs in the prod / writing.

Majority of the EP was co produced / mixed by me. But gotta give the credit of the 99 sound to big lord @osvsthewrld . He nailed it. We smashed it out so quick. by @jimi.blok
