I am doing a series of 3-4 minute videos about the various projects that are required in keeping a small apiary. I've had as many as four hives this year and we lost one to robber Bees we consolidated two together and now for the winter I think it's best to consolidate them all into one very strong hive. I'm expecting I'll get three or four more swarms this spring and get back to four or five a hives. I have neighbors that would like me to put hives on their property but I'm not sure I want to undertake a 5 to 10 Hive project. So hopefully you like the videos hopefully you follow along and we'll see where we go from here. As always if you hear of any swarms where people that need bees removed please messenger me.

I'm going to share with you a hive merger as well as an inspection for veroa mites and beetles as well as give you an insight into what it takes to keep a colony going. This is a merger of a weaker colony with a stronger colony as the winter comes. In addition because of the robber bees that came along they pretty much destroyed one Colony while the other one fought them off. So we're going to go from having two colonies down to one until we get another swarm.
