Time to start new chapter of life!
Some investments don’t look practical at first.
Sometimes they look like a first camera, a sweet lens kit, a microphone, and a decision to finally start.

Getting laid off from Cisco made me realize how much of life I was postponing.
So instead of staying stuck, I decided to invest in experiences, creativity, and the kind of memories I actually want to look back on.

I want to travel more.
Explore more.
Capture the things I love through photography and film.
Cars, mountains, conversations, quiet moments, chaos, movement, life as it really feels.

This is my first camera.
And maybe the beginning of a completely different chapter. 🎥📸🌍 taken in Delhi, India by @jimnyruns

Delhi → Kanatal → Tehri → Rishikesh

First proper mountain drive.

I thought it would be slow, scenic, almost effortless.
It wasn’t.

It was constant focus.
Learning while already doing.
Realising mid-drive that I wasn’t always in control but just reacting.

There were good stretches.
There were a few close calls.
And there was that last 100 km where fatigue hits harder than anything else.

But somewhere between the climbs, the descents, and figuring things out on the go…
something started to click.

Not confident yet.
But definitely more aware.

A few things I learned the hard way (if you’re driving in the mountains):

• Slow down before the slope, not during
• Stay in gear and do engine braking > riding the brakes
• If you’re braking constantly, you’re in the wrong gear
• Don’t cut blind turns, ever
• Take breaks before you feel tired, not after
• Night driving + fatigue = bad decisions
• Control matters more than speed

—

It wasn’t a perfect drive.
But it changed how I drive.

Thanku for reading!

Isn’t this what we should live for? What is even the use of all those stressful restless moments if you can’t have a quiet life, a good sunset to enjoy while sitting in a open field.

How can a piece of machinery become this close to me?
Just did my first road trip with this monster, loved every bit of it, no matter what road you throw at it, nothing stops my jimny!
